Slow Cooker, Easy Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
I love this soup. It is so easy and so delicious. I usually add a few more potatoes to make it go further but other than that follow the recipe as written. It is so, so good. I have made it using chicken broth instead of bouillon when I had some broth to use up and it turned out great also. Enjoy!

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

I have made this several times but use ground beef or ground turkey instead of chicken. Love it every time!

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
Amazing. I have made these with and without the chicken and enjoyed them both times. Served it with Amy's cilantro sauce from this site - so, so good together. Will definitely make again (many times)!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
This was delicious. I made it as a dippig sauce for the southwestern egg rolls from this site and we loved it. I thought my husband was going to lick the bowl clean!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
These were SO good. I was a little skeptical but thought I'd give them a try - I'm so glad I did. I did a half recipe and used black beans instead of kidney beans. Delicious!

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

I have made this twice now and my husband LOVES it. It comes out very pretty and is quite filling. I follow the recipe minus the dill and almonds. A very enjoyable meal!

White Wine Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
This soup was very good and very filling. A great wintertime meal! True to ourselves, I needed to add just a little bit more spice to mine and my husband loved his the way it was. I followed the recipe with the exception of the parsnip and I used cut up chicken breasts instead of a whole chicken. This is a great meal to make because you can really add or take away whichever veggies you want and I imagine it would still be delicious! I chopped all of the vegetables up pretty small, and next time I will probably cut them into larger pieces just for appearance sake. A really good soup!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
We LOVED these! I am a huge fan of lettuce wraps but have always been hesitant to attempt them. Not anymore! These were delicious, very easy, and make for a beautiful meal. I used ground turkey instead of beef and left out the optional pepper sauce and they turned out beautifully. I can't wait to make them again!

Easy Garlic and Rosemary Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
A nice, easy dish that doesn't take a lot of ingredients or time. I took the advice of other reviewers and added a little bit of chicken broth to the bottom of the pan to keep it moist, which did the trick. This a good, simple dish but nothing too terribly special about it one way or the other. If I make it again I will probably put a lot more lemon juice and some additional spices on it.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
We made this soup for company and everyone really enjoyed it. It was a little bland for my taste, so next time I will probably want to double the spices. However, my husband loved it just the way it was. It takes a while to make but it isn't difficult at all. Very filling!

Rice Cereal Energy Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
These are great and easy to make! My husband is a big cyclist and these little bars can keep him going on long rides. You can really vary what is inside them based on personal preferences and what you have on hand. We substituted honey for the corn syrup and decided that we would probably leave out the sesame seeds next time. A great way to save money on expensive energy bars!

Spicy Chipotle Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
My husband made these for us and some company and they were delicious! Just enough spice to taste good without being overpowering. We tried a variation of them using regular ground beef, and in my opinion, they tasted better with the turkey. Not to mention that they are healthier that way! I can definitely see us making these again. Enjoy!

Laurie's Shepherd's Pie

This is a good and very simple recipe, although true to English cuisine, a little bland. I would definitely suggest adding some spices to it but it is an easy meal to put together!

Very good recipe. My husband and I both really enjoyed it, though it does take some time. Not something I will make every week, but a good recipe overall!

Herbed Chicken Fettuccine

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
The only change I made to this recipe was using a garlic and herb spice mix I had available rather than using the soup mix. It turned out well and we enjoyed it! The only change I will make in the future is to use less oil as it turned out much to oily in the end. Enjoy!

Cranberry Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
These scones are DELICIOUS. I may have changed the recipe enough that I can't give an honest rating/review, but I still highly recommend it. I used cinnamon instead of nutmeg, dried cranberries instead of fresh, and I omitted the nuts. I didn't have an orange or half-and-half on hand, and ended up using orange yogurt and a splash of milk (until the texture was dough-like) in place of them. I also baked them as drop scones rather than fighting the dough into shape. My husband and I both love them and will likely be making another batch soon!

Magic Cookie Bars II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
My husband and I loved this dessert! I followed the advice in other reviews and used just a little bit of extra graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of the pan, and I used pecans instead of walnuts because that is what I had on hand. I refrigerated it when it was finished and my husband and I both enjoyed it much more cold than we did when it was fresh! My only advice is to go ahead and add the extra crumbs to the bottom and to take the advice of several reviewers to butter the sides of the pan as well. It can be pretty tricky to get out!

Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
The only variation I made to this recipe was to add some seasoned bread crumbs on top- it had received such good reviews that I wanted to initially try it as it is written. I'm glad I did! I enjoyed this meal with my husband and a visiting friend and we all had seconds! Everyone was pretty skeptical when I said we were having tuna casserole, but each of us really enjoyed it. I definitely plan to make it again!
