About this Cook
I'm a Southerner with none of the usual flair. I talk with a drawl, walk with a limp and laugh like a jack___! I'm divorced and totally in love with my grandchildren. I got turned on to AR by my sister and she hasn't been able to talk to me since,(AR addict) but loving eating the food. I spent my life in accounting so I don't balance anything now... Just life.
My favorite things to cook
I love the big, old fashioned Sunday Dinner in the south type of meals. Roasts with all the trimmings, meatloafs, chicken, chops etc. Good old Tex/Mex, hearty soups and salads and yummy desserts. I so want to master traditional Italian and absolutely adore Asian quisine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday meals are always the best for me. That's when we all re-live the memories. There's only my sister and myself left so we're trying to start traditions that our grandkids will remember.
My cooking triumphs
I consider anything that brings an "Oh, that's so good "from my family a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Easy... Beautiful, goldenbrown fried chicken served to my new hubby - RAW! I think every young wife has done that once. My first pressure cooker meatloaf that I decorated my brand new efficiency apt. with... What a mess.
