This is freaking delicious. Seriously. My husband and I love german pancakes and, in our recent move to South Korea, lost our recipe. I found this one to try and, because we're low on maple syrup, decided to try the buttermilk syrup as well. It was amazing. Seriously, I think I might have died a little bit inside (in a good way). I made the pancakes exactly as written, but cut the syrup recipe down to 1/4 the volume, left out the corn syrup and baking soda and used plain yogurt in place of the buttermilk (didn't have it on hand). So, I guess I changed it quite a bit (wasn't really thinking about it at the time), but it was still AWEsome. On the whole, I will be making this again. Maybe tomorrow and then maybe every day after that, too.. Yeah, I think I'll go ahead and hide the scale now.....
