Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
I doubled everything (mainly because I had put 4 potatoes in the oven before I found the recipe). I omitted the onion and just used onion powder with the garlic and and added a can of cream of corn. Awesome. Maybe a little too much garlic, but that's my fault. After cooking on the stove, I put it into the crockpot on warm. Its snowing in Texas and my kids will eat on this all day and its just easier that way. Great recipe, very easy. A keeper!!!

I've been making this for years and even though I don't cook the marinade beforehand, it always turns out great. And its even better with salmon

Fabulous. A hit with the entire family. The only change I made was to use half ground beef and half sausage. A winner!!!

Kielbasa Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Home Run!!! I added a can of tomato sauce and used turkey kielbasa. I also sauteed the onion, garlic and kielbasa in butter-flavored spray, then dumped it along with everything else in the crockpot and let it cook all day. Excellent recipe with a unique flavor from the kielbasa. Will be making again.

The Best Bean and Ham Soup

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Fabulous. I skipped the vegetable broth (didn't have on hand) and used chicken broth. And instead of ham, I diced up turkey kielbasa, since the 9 year old likes it so much. A keeper!!!

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
A winner. Made it the night before. I did add a dash of Worcestershire Sauce to the eggs and doubled the recipe using 1lb regular sausage and 1lb hot sausage, then cooked at 325 for 90 minutes while at church, then added the cheese when we came home. Great recipe for a large crowd.

Fluffy Pancakes

Great pancakes! For some reason, I was out of Bisquick (how did that happen?) and when little man said I want pancakes for breakfast, I panicked! This recipe was easy and the pancakes were fabulous!

Delicious Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Have made this many times, just kept forgetting to review. I converted it to a crockpot, use 8 cups of broth, 6 tablespoons of soy sauce and add some garlic. I also add 2 frozen chicken breasts, then shred right before serving, to make a complete meal. I cook brown rice separately, then add 1/2 cup to each bowl when serving. Complete meal, low calorie, healthy, tastes great. A winner!

I only used 1/4 cup olive oil, but kept everything else the same. Loved it!

Rice Pudding I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I made exactly according to the directions and it turned out great! I was happy that I had read the other reviews about how soupy it was when it went into the oven, otherwise, I would have panicked. Great warm last night and cold the next morning!

Followed the recipe (and I do cook quite a bit) EXACTLY. Inedible. A waste of milk and cheese.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Blah. Just Blah. A lot of effort and blah. I omitted the flour (as suggested by other reviewers), other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. Just blah.
