Old-Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
Made this for a party. It was a big hit! I definitely added way less sugar to the strawberries. It didn't seem like anyone noticed one bit! I used the "sturdy whipped cream frosting" recipe and layered that in with the shortcake and strawberries... It is a perfect summer dessert!

Easy Fried Eggplant

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
Great! Quick and easy for sure. I used whole wheat flour instead of bread crumbs. And I mixed milk in with a couple eggs to help stretch it (kinda like when making french toast). Then instead of tomato slices, we dipped it in some warmed up marinara. Yummy!!!

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Very good indeed! I used some vegetable shortening instead of bacon (though did mix in bacon bits) and added minced garlic and green peppers. It was a big hit with everyone! Definitely will make it again.

This was tasty. To make once and enjoy. But not one to make over and over again. Glad I made it, but really nothing amazing.
