I'm a true vegetarian: no flesh of any kind (yes that means no fish nor eggs either). I'm also a Messianic Hebrew. : )
My favorite things to cook
Many many different styles: Middle Eastern (Hebrew/Jewish), Italian, southern, Indian (India), Native American, Mexican, Asian, French...so many kinds. It's fun!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I bake a fresh loaf or batch (if its pan-style) of bread for the Sabbath.
My cooking triumphs
Figuring out how to bake bread from scratch--it is finally turning out right! My next learning experience is noodles... I also finally got churning butter right (didn't know about buttermilk seperation until later)--so proud!
My cooking tragedies
My husband and I gathered an herb from the garden that looked and smelled like sage. When we ate it in a polenta dish I had made...it wasn't sage and we were sick to our stomach--nothing serious happened, thank GOD.
