Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
Worked great for me! As other reviewers have mentioned, I had to play with the milk/corn syrup amounts. 2 tsp of milk was laughable. I'm wondering if I need to add more corn syrup though next time b/c one batch was shinier than the other :-) I added 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tsp of butter nut flavoring too- everyone loved it! Great recipe that just needs some tweaking. Prepare for it to take a few hours for it to dry before they are stackable.

So good! Made it with chicken broth instead of wine and reduced fat ingredients- fantastic!

Buttery Caramel Apple Jam

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
Absolutely wonderful! I had purchased some blemished/second picking apples to make applesauce and found I had many left over. I wanted to try something different and this sounded interesting. I'm so glad i tried it! I had read some of the other reviews and was concerned about the sweetness of the end product-especially since I didn't have tart Granny Smith apples. I went ahead and used the required amount of sugar but I added 1 TB of lemon juice to balance it out. It's fantastic!

Pineapple Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
VERY Yummy! I didn't have pineapple though and HAD to use up my bananas before we became fruit fly central :-) SO- I took some lite canned peaches and food processed enough to equal the 8 oz crushed pineapple. You can't really taste the peaches but boy is it good and moist! I figured it was a gamble and it paid off! Now I need to try it the original way too :-)
