Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
I really liked this recipe. I lost my favorite recipe a few years ago and searched in desperation for a similar one. I adapted this recipe a little. I used brown sugar instead of white. Like some other people said baking the potatoes instead of boiling them yields a better taste. I toasted the pecans before I added them to the topping.

Crescent Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
These were very good. They are not super sweet. I used pecans instead of walnuts. I toasted the nuts first to give the cookies more flavor. I dusted them with powdered sugar after they came out of the oven

Indian Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
This was very good. I followed the exact recipe. I only gave it four stars as it is not truly Tandoori chicken unless you cook it in a Tandoor over. This is as close as you get to the real thing without investing hundreds of dollars on a special cooker. We had several people over for an Indian dinner and this was everyone's favorite dish.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
This was really good the first time I made just as the recipe reads. The second time I made it I did not have chopped chilis but I did have some jalapenos so I added those. I sometimes add a can of black beans.

Naan

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
This is a great recipe. I made it in my bread machine but "proofed" the yeast first as directed in the original recipe. The original recipe calls for you to add in the flour as needed. I found that 3 and 1/2 cups of flour does the trick in the bread machine. I cooked it on my grill as directed and it turned out great.

Cider Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
This is very nice non alchohalic fondue recipe. I served it with green apples, pears, bread, and soft pretzels cut into bite size pieces. I cook fondue fairly often. It is a favorite in the fall.
