Seriously, being from New Orleans and all, I love to cook New Orleans style cuisine. Gumbo, Jambalaya, Boiled Shrimp, Fried Fish, Stuffed Mirliton - (pronounced Mel-a-tawn).
New Orleans cooking is influenced by different cooking traditions such as French, Spanish and Native American and I love them all but the Italian flavors also present are a stand-out for me.
Believe you me...bring on the Olive Oil, Spinach, Basil, Roasted Red Peppers, Pine Nuts and Smoked Provolone...I am a happy girl!

I once substituted pizza sauce with ketchup, tried making a smoothie in my Ninja Blender using cantalope, added the brine from an olive jar into a stir-fry dish on high heat, doubled a fudge recipe the pot couldn't handle. "It Was So Wrong."
