Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2015
One of the very best if not the best bread recipe. I also live at high altitude and used a slightly modified recipe as submitted by EJonespr - but the bread is top notch and will make it regularly. The texture is perfect - it is hard to get a good bread at over 6,000 feet high altitude. Thank you so much.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2014
There's good chili and there's great chili - this rates among the best - you have to try it using roasted hatch chilies - followed all the spices but with only Italian sausage chunks -the spices were perfect. Thanks for the recipe.

Scrambled Eggs Done Right

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2014
I loved the difference in texture of the scrambled eggs with such a small change with the mayo - I even used low cal mayo - a slight change in flavor which was very pleasant - no salt needed - I did mix the mayo with the water first then added as another person suggested. I for sure will do it this way from now on.. Thanks much

Chocolate Oil Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
What a delightful, easy dessert. I made it for Valentine's Day gift - quick, easy, moist, chocolatey, what else can you ask for. The recipe was followed exactly- make sure that you use fresh baking soda - baking is difficult in high altitudes and this was perfect. Thank you for the recipe.

Chocolate Peppermint Candies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
At last a no-stove-top candy recipe. I live in high mountain range and it is a pleasure to find a really good delicious candy recipe. I did change the directions a bit - After drying - I knife frosted one side then let sit covered in cool area for overnight -ran out of time - and then frosted with a knife the next day because of reviews stating problems with dipping in chocolate. Came out perfectly and with a great peppermint flavor. THANKS MUCH - LOVE IT.

You gotta make this pizza dough - I stopped making pizza at home because they all were the same taste to me - not this one. It is sticky to work with but I just put it on my pizza stone and pre baked for 5 min. - I can't rave enough about this dough. Thank you Very Much -

Andy's Spicy Green Chile Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
Terrific recipe - I used a pork loin (on sale) and followed the instructions except slow cooked it for 5 1/2 hrs. Used my immersion blender and blended all the juice and herbs and am using this as sauce on the meat, on fried eggs and anything I can think of - JUST GREAT - thanks much.

Easy - delicious recipe- I used a 2 pound london broil -just because it was on sale- I didn't have Italian salad dressing so used Italian herb seasoning and followed the rest of the recipe - it came out just great - I'll try with the Italian salad dressing and see if it is better - can't see how but maybe. Oatmeal Pudding Cookies

Just ate one of these delicious cookies - I did the 2 1/2 cups oats, 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp salt as was suggested by one of the reviewers and used 1 cup chocolate chips - I got 48 cookies that baked to perfection for 12 minutes. I usually don't change the recipe but I wanted to experiment - which I will do the same again - great cookies - thanks so much for this recipe

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2011
Just made this bread a few days ago - in my estimate a delicious bread - both plain or toasted slightly (which gives it a crunchy texture perfect for garlic bread.) It is a bit difficult to handle but I dusted the bread board with a bit more flour to make it easier to handle. I put a bowl of warm water in the oven while baking and it results in a crispy crust. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Balsamic Vinegar Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2011
This is one good potato salad - I was looking for something just like this with no mayonnaise - to me the regular potato salads pretty much taste very similar to each other - I even heated this up with some white sausages and it was great cold or hot - can't beat that. Thanks so much for this excellent recipe.

Fire Side Coffee

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
Just made a small amount to check out the taste - which is delish! I tried it in a cup of hot water - excellent - then I tried it in a cup of coffee in place of the expensive flavor creamers - 1 tsp in a cup of coffee and a bit of sugar substitute- Perfect - I really like the nutmeg and cinammon flavor and it doesn't need refrigeration. THANKS SO MUCH for this keeper.

Roasted Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Excellent - I used white potatoes, onions, carrots for the roasting - 30 min. at 400 - then stir for another 30 min- added garlic powder to the olive oil mix and used dried basil for roasting. Used jarred red pepper, more garlic and dried basil. I don't like to change the original but this turned out great for what I had on hand. Thanks much for the recipe

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
This recipe is great - I made just as directed and put all the spices in a jar with a label indicating how to make the dressing - I used olive oil. I even sprinkled some of the mix into scrambled eggs - delicious - even on top of bread, spread with a bit of olive oil and broiled - thanks much for the best dressing mix - no more bottles for me.

Crusty Potato Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Ten Stars - I have made this just as directed and in my humble opinion my search for a chewy white bread that is very tasty has finally ended. The only difference I made was to take it out of the bread machine and let rise 1 hour and bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes as others suggested. THE BEST WHITE BREAD...THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUBMITTAL.
