Herb-Stuffed Red Peppers

Used red peppers (highly recommend over green)-par-cooked as described, in microwave. Used ground pork and no broth. No allspice and it was AWESOME!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

scaled it to '8' and it was awesome; left out the milk and it was thick. Fluffy and tasty. Added chocolate chips as per my kids request. BIG HIT! Served family of 4 with 8 pancakes left over!

As described with recipe. No changes. Used poppy seed, sesame seed, garlic salt w asiago cheese and cinnamon (sans raisins).. only made 8 'normal' sized bagels.. left to 'rise' for over 30 min. Will double batch it and make again.. VERY chewy and tasty.. "lite" tasting! YUMMY! Thanks!

Green Chile Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
Although I used ham, mushrooms, onions and fresh spinach, with old aged white cheddar, the idea is the same. The flour/baking powder/salt mixture with the eggs makes for a perfectly cooked (non-runny) pie. I halved the recipe and made just one quiche. No melted butter required. WILL MAKE AGAIN.. pic to follow!

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
This is a very light tasting pecan pie. Usually the pecan pie is way too sweet and you can only have a touch before you feel sick. (that's me). This is NOT too sweet. I think its perfect. Will make THIS one again and again! Perfect with coffee or tea. THANK YOU! Pics to follow!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
perfect dough in breadmaker; did not change a thing. For the filling, I spread margarine on the rolled dough and then sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar. Made the cream cheese frosting with margarine and low fat cream cheese with lots of icing sugar, the vanilla will darken the icing, but its worth it.. not sure why the salt is necessary in the icing, but I did it anyways. GINORMOUS rolls! Pics to follow!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Please do carmalize your onions (adds so much flavour).. take your time... makes all the difference.. a splash of dry cooking sherry also makes the 'french' part so tasty!

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Fantastically light cake-can be eaten 'as-like' or I top with cream cheese frosting. MMMM.. I do use 4 bananas; whether they are large or small; it doesn't matter.. they just have to be RIPE.. oh,.. and I use sour cream to replace the buttermilk.. just too much sour cream on hand! ;0)

Not quite the same; a little too... 'light'?? Tasted airy, maybe not sweet enough? Something about the filling that seemed off.
