Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Just made these tonight! My apartment smells amazing! I'm going to send some to my boyfriend for Christmas. Definitely chill the peanut butter mixture-even if its just cold it helps. Flatten the cookie part in your palm-if it's not dry it's not difficult to flatten-I didn't even need flour. Great recipe!

Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
As a "poor college student" I practically lived off of this dish for a couple semesters. To make it lower in fat, omit bacon and use either a tiny bit of butter or a non-stick skillet. You can also add some broccoli to get some fiber in there and add a little color-not to mention vitamins! (Nutrition Major-can you tell?)

Breakfast Casserole I

Try substituting Morning Star vegetarian sausage for the bacon-healthier and very flavorful! You can also use half eggs, half egg whites and add more veggies!

White Chocolate Blondies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
I made these last night for my friends. RAVE reviews! They turned out so moist and dense! Way better than chocolate chip cookies. So good when they're slightly warm. I also used white chocolate chips and they turned out fine. Only word of caution I have is that when you work with white chocolate chips DON'T expect them to melt exactly like regular chocolate chips. Mine actually got "gloppy" in the butter...but when it was mixed with the batter it was no big deal. They turned out great.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
Sensational! Would have been better if I hadn't burned them. I was able to scrape off the top layer and try it enough to know it's a great recipe. I added 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips to this recipe-then you don't even need frosting! Definitely will make again! :D

Kaese Spaetzle

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
Only a minor revision-I'm not a HUGE fan of swiss/ementhaller so I usually add some butterkase or farmer's cheese to mellow the flavor a little bit. Serve this with red cabbage or sauerkraut. Delicious!

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
There aren't enough stars!!! I went to visit Ocean City, MD with my boyfriend last summer and we went to a little crab shack for dinner. We had a dip JUST like this! I made it for him and his family over Thanksgiving and they FLIPPED! Fantastic-thank you for sharing!

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
Sensational! I made these for a gluten free workshop I taught over the summer. I had people from other areas of the workshop coming in to sneak tastes. Nobody believed they were gluten free...and pretty healthy for a dessert!!! I work in a nutrition clinic and all the dietitians here are begging for the recipe. Excellent! This is really good warm with a scoop of ice cream. I also recommend adding either dark or milk chocolate chips...it makes them feel more like brownies.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
I made this recipe last night using the tips from DEED330. Delicious-maybe a little too much garlic. Next time I would cut back on the minced garlic and add a little more sugar. Delicious-my sisters gave me rave reviews!

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
Oh. My. Gosh. AMAZING! This was so delicious! I could almost make it in long strips and have breadsticks. It was such a flavorful, crispy and fluffy crust. Awesomeness. I also melted some butter, added parmesan cheese and garlic powder, then brushed that on the crust about five minutes before taking it out of the oven. Wonderful recipe.

Made these this morning-Glad to see they use real wheat bran instead of cereal. Excellent recipe and lots of fiber!

Honey Dijon Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
We were out of salad dressing at my place so I made this recipe-amazing! Tangy and tart. I made a couple changes. I added 1 tsp lemon juice and 1/2 tsp lemon pepper...and I used canola oil instead of olive because it's a bit milder. It's a great recipe-definite make-again!

Men Love This Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
Made this for my boyfriend's birthday dinner tonight. He and his roommate LOVED it! Only problem I had was that it didn't make lots of sauce with the mushrooms and peppers. I added some more Worcestershire sauce and dijon and it came out great. Definite make again!

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
This was pretty good. I did add 1/2 tsp of vanilla and a few tablespoons of butter to keep it from sticking. It did still stick on the bottom but most of it was ok. Maybe if it was cooked for a shorter period of time that would have helped. It was still a nice treat to wake up to in the morning.

FANTASTIC recipe! I added a couple teaspoons of lemon juice to the milk because I didn't have any buttermilk at home. Great recipe. The texture is almost like sponge cake!
