There is a controversy in my house and revolves around A1 sauce. In my corner, I love it. I put it on cottage cheese (yes I do and its super, super good), I put it on hamburger 'steaks' and I like to put in on my regular steak.. but.... In husbands corner, A1 is the enemy of the day. He… MORE

I absolutely love macaroni and cheese. I love the taste, I love the cheese and I love the idea of all that yummy butter for a once in awhile treat. However- mac and cheese does not like me. The version I grew up making my husband does not like (he says its too eggy) so even though it was my… MORE

So, I finally made the pancetta thing.  I tried to recreate what I had at Rainforest Cafe and after swimming through tons of suggestions, here's what I came up with. I'd like to submit this but I can't decide what this is- so read on and send me your suggestions. Whatever it ends up being, it… MORE

One of the things I enjoy doing is trying recipes from AR and then  I review them. I think the cooks who take the time to post their recipes and are lucky enough to be chose for publication deserve some feedback. Fortunately, I've only had to write favorable reviews because everything I have… MORE

My kids have grown up eating quiche- usually tuna quiche, because that was what I grew up eating. I've now expanded my palate horizons to include just about anything in a quiche. The basic recipe is always the same- protein on the bottom, then a cheese, veggie and finally beaten eggs poured on… MORE

As requested,  my pizza dough recipe is listed below. Couple of things:  This dough requires you to be intuitive- meaning listen to your cooking heartbeat and if something doesn't seem right, fix it! While kneading, if it feels a bit dry, you probably added to much flour and you'll need to… MORE

Part 1 because as you will soon discover, I am a pizza nut. Fanatic. Crazed. Use whatever term you wish, anyone and everyone who knows me knows I love pizza. It was one of the first things I learned to cook because my mother didn't like pizza so her attitude was "You want it, you cook it".… MORE

I'm a relatively good cook and I am improving all the time. Thankfully, I have a personal reviewer in my house who not only tries everything I make but sees no issue in holding back opinions of my creations. I have secretly nicknamed him "The Beast"- in reality, he is my 14 year old… MORE

About Me
Running at top speed mama to two, I love to write and cook. My blog focuses on cooking stories tied into life with my wild ones. I'm passionate about my wonderful children, husband, Siamese cat and coming soon puppy. I'm also an avid deleter of spam so enjoy!!
My favorite things to cook
PIZZA! Macaroni and Cheese, pesto carbonara, homemade wontons, egg rolls, spaghetti, tuna croquettes and PIZZA!.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year when we decorate our Christmas tree, I serve fried rice balls with marinara sauce. Over the last couple of years, I've developed a tradition of serving a taco bar on New Years eve night.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made bulgogi marinade for my husband. He'd not had it before and raved about the meat after he grilled it.
My cooking tragedies
The night I was making homemade wontons and due to humidity, they all decided to stick to each other. Wonton balls, anyone?
