so my dilemma has always to find that perfect balance in a sauce that is not to sweet and makes me say yummm - i am also a vegetarian and i am always looking for ways to find recipes that make everyone in my family happy (im alone on my own little vegetarian island). i made the sauce EXACTLY as written, the meatballs however i had to make adjustments since i don't eat meat so i substituted Vegi burger crumbles in place of the beef and i added some olive oil in the mix and followed the rest of the recipe exactly, took the time to make the "meatballs" and drop them in the pot and after the 30 minute cook time for the "meat" was done i checked the pot and my heart broke a little when i found them all seperated and not meatballish anymore - that being said, this is the best "meat" sauce i have EVER made, the flavor is perfect and i will not change a thing next except taking the time to form little fake "meatballs" AMAZING, and i will probably be making spaghetti alot more often now that i have found the perfect sauce, thanks for sharing!
