Pumpkin Spice Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
this bread was amazing! i doubled the batch and ended up with 6 loaves of bread. i ate two loaves in two days its that good! lol i did read alot of the reviews before making and decided to make some changes i used 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. instead of 1 cup oil i used two of the premeasured apple sauce cups that come in a set of 6 and 1/4 cup of oil. i made my own pumpkin puree and used 2 cups of it. i used 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and instead of water i used orange juice. some people wrote in their review that the top of the bread was dark so i cooked it at 330 degrees for 60 minutes and it was perfect! another thing i did was when i greased the pans i also floured them and it made it so much easier to get them out after they baked and didnt leave behind any bread crumbs. next time i will probably cut down on the nutmeg to 1/2 teaspoon since it was a little strong but it came out very moist and delicious!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
This was the best carrot cake ive ever had! After reading a few pages of reviews i did change the recipe to 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar and added 2 more tsps of cinnamon. The first time i used this recipe the cake tasted of nothing but oil. so the second i made it i used 3/4 cup oil and 3/4 cup milk. it came out more moist and flavorful than the first time. i also used the recipe cream cheese frosting II from this website. Would recommend this recipe for sure!

Caramel Frosting IV

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2010
After i added about 2 cups of the confectioners sugar i tasted it and it didnt even tast like caramel! it tasted like powered sugar. I make frosting all the time and this is the worst i have ever had! The whole point of using a caramel frosting is so that it will taste like caramel! i will not use this recipe again!

Texas Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
i love this recipe! i have made it a few times now and put it on top of brownies. i dont think there is anyway to mess this recipe up and its soo easy. i did change the recipe a few times and instead of adding vanilla (because it can be expensive) i added another tsp of milk and you cant even taste the difference!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
i just got done making these cookies and they are so delicious! i didnt read any of the reviews before making them and followed the recipe exactly until i got to the part to mix in the oats and raisins, i noticed the dough wasnt very thick so i added another cup flour. i would NOT recommend using only 1 1/4 cups flour use 2 1/4! i bake cookies at least once a week and ive learned to get the fluffy cookies that are soft in the center and crunchy on the outside you need the right amount of flour the dough needs to be kinda thick. very good recipe. i will use it again!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
This recipe was sooo easy. Ive used it a few times when i come home from work and im too tired to cook. It takes just a few mins to mix together and roll out. My husband and i like to make mexican pizza and top the dough with beans, taco meat, cheese, salsa, sour cream, olives, etc. The only thing that i do differently is after i roll the dough out i bake it for 10 to 15 mins before i add the toppings to make the crust more crisp.

Turtles® Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
this was the best cheesecake i have ever eaten! i did make a few changes thought. I used vanilla oreos in place of the vanilla wafers. I also didnt mix the chocolate in with the cheesecake mix, instead i melted it and poured it on top with some carmel and crushed pecans. i will always use this recipe when making cheesecake from now on!

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
i just used this recipe for a halloween cake im making. its tastes sooo good! one of the best frostings ive ever had. its light and fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. one thing though, when you cook the milk and flour only cook it until its thick like a gravy. make sure to stir constantly so it doesnt get lumpy.
