Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This was delicious - but I had to add an extra cup of wine to make it 'dippable.' It was kind of annoying to have to put the fondue pot on the stove! Still, really good once it was done! Four stars because I had to add more wine than is called for.

Cinnamon and Lime Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
This was soo good! I did go a little overboard on the spices...I added cayenne pepper to the potatoes before I cooked them, and added too much cinnamon. The cayenne was perfect though. Textures went together beautifully...And the lime was a pleasant suprise when you bit into the onion. I will definitely make this again, with less cinnamon next time. This made a TON of food though, I only cook for two people so we have lunch and dinner for tomorrow.

Chicken Enchilada Soup III

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
This recipe was really good after I tweaked it a bit. I didn't have the masa harina, so I used corn muffin mix and flour like another reviewer suggested, and I didn't have enchilada sauce so I used salsa instead. It was pretty bland so I added another 1/2 t cumin, 1/2 t red cayenne pepper, and 1/2 t chili pepper. After that it was really spicy but soo good! I also added 3-4 jalapeƱo slices from a jar, diced. I'll definitely make it again, and try to find the masa harina and enchiada sauce next time. Maybe that's what the problem was this time...either way it was still good!

Traditional White Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I LOVE this recipe! I literally do not buy white bread anymore, I think it's a waste of money after eating this bread! The only change I made was to use butter instead of lard, I like the flavor and texture much better. And then I'm not using lard, either. I make it every weekend and the two loaves last my boyfriend an I until the end of the week, but only if we don't share, otherwise it's gone by the end of the day! The crust is delicious, it always turns out just right. Try this bread, you'll love it too!

Chicken Curry I

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
This was the first time I had ever even SEEN curry, I only made it because my boyfriend had been begging me to. It was amazing! I served it over jasmine rice, and had chocolate cheesecake for dessert to mellow out the spiciness. I was short on curry so I only used 1 1/2 T, and added extra of all the spices. I didn't have any fresh garlic so I used granulated instead, and used my crockpot so the chicken would fall apart. SO GOOD!! we finished eating an hour ago and he keeps going back for more - definitely a keeper! I loved the lemon at the end, perfect touch.
