Cheesy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2002
My family loved this recipe. I would recommend definitely letting it set the 10-15 minutes before slicing, as I got impatient and my cheese ran out of the sides. Maybe I will try to seal the edges better next time. I used cheddar as other's suggested. It made a dense meatloaf that didn't fall apart. I also put a little ketchup, mustard, brown sugar mix over the top. I will probably stick to my old favorite, but this would be worth making again.

Wanda's Chicken Noodle Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2002
I improvised a little on this recipe. Used a whole package of egg noodles. Added 1/4 cup Watkins cheese sauce mix and 1 tsp. chicken boullion to sauce. Also, used 3 cups of milk. Decreased the amount of shredded cheese and used a package of frozen mixed veggies, cooked for 3min. This turned out very well. Even better the next day!

Momma Lamb's Famous Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2002
i make this using whatever fruit i have on hand, often a bag of frozen mixed fruit, fresh strawberries, and bananas. i mix the bananas with a little lemon juice to keep them from turning brown. i also use sugar free pudding because my husband is diabetic. this is a fabulous recipe!!!

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2002
i made these with garlic jack cheese and maybe that was just too much garlic, but i didn't think this recipe was anything fabulous. i will give it a try again with cheddar, though.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2002
These are very good, don't overcook and they will be just a little crispy on the edges and so soft and chewy in the middle. Not particularly spicy, but maybe my cloves are old.

Chewy Crispy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: May 12, 2002
i was really disappointed by this recipe. don't know if i did something wrong, but they stayed small and were very crumbly. they were edible, but i won't make them again. i have made a similar recipe that turned out really good, so will have to hunt it down.

this recipe was very easy and had a wonderful flavor. be careful you don't cook it too long, the "crust" gets tough. otherwise, it was really nice, especially for those people who don't like pie crust!
