I subbed out the salt for 1 tsp of garlic salt. I also thought 1 whole onion was too much. Afterwards I mixed 2 parts avacado dip with 1 part salsa and 1/2 cup of mozza and baked it @ 400 for 10 - 15min. No need to cool this way, and it's always been really popular dish.
