Asian Beef with Snow Peas

This is a great recipe, but I had to make several substitutions. First of all, I live in NYC and have been to at least 4 grocery stores and several liquor stores and no one has ever heard of rice wine. So I just used a little white cooking wine instead, which worked out fine. Second, I use flank steak instead of top round and I use a ton of vegetables like red pepper, scallions, sometimes carrots, mushrooms etc. and it is always amazing. My husband isn't a huge fan of sauce so I don't double it like a lot of other people do, but if I were making it for myself I would since it makes it more flavorful. Overall, the outcome is quick, easy and delicious and very easy to modify to your liking.

Sweet and Sour Drumettes

First of all, there are no frying instructions. For those of us who don't fry food regularly this is a problem since it leaves out half of the cooking method. If I wanted to bake chicken there are a million other recipes for that, I was following this one for frying. I read through all the comments and couldn't find anyone who gave a tutorial on how to fry so I just came up with my own method, which was probably wrong. Second, the glaze is super thin and watery, I even followed suggestions from other users on ways to thicken it. I didn't taste it at all on the chicken afterwards which is a real shame. Overall I think the instructions are severely lacking in this recipe and the sauce is way too runny, making the outcome edible, but not very tasty.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

This recipe is easy and tastes great, but be careful not to overspice. If you use 1/4 tsp of everything it still tastes fabulous and if you omit any spices altogether it's fine also. This is one very easy way to cook potatoes that looks and tastes complicated!

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Amazing!! So much bang for the buck with both cost for ingredients and time spent in the kitchen. I have tried to make similar dishes with premade vodka sauce and it just doesn't compare. This truly tastes better than something I would order at a restaurant. Will definitely make again.
