About this Cook
49 year-old mother of three adult children. In a relationship. LOVE to cook & bake. Like to sing & spend time with friends & family.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, pork, fish & pasta (not too often) & the occasional roast. Experimenting with different combinations of homegrown herbs & spices.
My favorite family cooking traditions
THE COOKIES & DESSERTS!! Recipes that have been handed down over 5 generations of my family!
My cooking triumphs
Made an elk roast from an elk that my husband shot in Montana. I thought it was going to be very gamey & tough. I prepared it just like I do a beef roast & it was the most mouth-watering, juicy roast I've ever eaten. The texture was slightly different, but tasty nonetheless.
My cooking tragedies
Used baking soda in a recipe that called for baking powder (or vice-versa).. needless to say I ended up with a sheet of rock from what were supposed to be cookies. HEY, I was only 10!! LOL

Absolutely Sinful Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies were GREAT!! I used unsweetened cocoa & oil instead of squares. Guide is on pkg. Eliminated about 1/2 the sour cream & used 1/2 mini dark choc chips & 1/2 Andes Dark Chocolate & Mint pieces. Talk about a chocloatey-minty cookie. They were a hit at our Xmas Party!!
