I would recommend the use of cinnamon rather than nutmeg.

Not so easy to make, but worth the effort taste-wise.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
The quality of the eggplant plays a huge part in whether this recipe is a hit or a dismal miss.

This is a gingerbread for those who really love ginger bread. Not a flavor that everyone enjoys.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
I really thought this would come out as a big sloppy mush, but it taste great and makes for a great sandwich when served on a lightly toasted Italian hoagie bun.

Nana's Mashed Turnip

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
Out of necessity I used a pinch of cayenne pepper in this as I was out of black pepper. It turned out very moist and so flavor full that no one at my dinner bothered to put butter or gravy on my mashed turnip and enjoyed it as served.

A simple to make recipe that goes great not only with turkey but on your oatmeal in the morning.

Roasted Duck

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
This was so simple to prep and cook and it tasted fantastic! The seasoning is simple allowing the natural flavor of the duck to dominate, and the large quantities of butter made the duck extremely moist. This may be the only way I ever cook duck again, with absolutely no change to the recipe.

Peking Duck

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
The biggest draw back with this dish is the involved and semi-difficult prep and cooking steps. The flavor was subtle on strength, not over powering at all, but very complicated and exotic. With fresh plum duck sauce this make a great main course for a meal.

Naan Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
The taste was just fine. I had no problem getting all the bread eaten. My only problems was that the recipe seemed to call for way more flour than was needed, and the bread was not at all chewy or pliable when done. I may have to tweak with this recipe to make it have the consistency of true naan.

Seafood Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Whenever I make this it's gone before I finish my first slice. Using fresh seafood instead of canned would make this a definite 5 star, though I admit that using canned makes the prep so much easier I don't think I'd bother with fresh seafood unless I had a very special guest.

Taste great. Makes for a unique dinner without too much work. I found it nessecary to increase the oil and sauces, but this may be a matter of personal taste.
