About this Cook
Mommy of two cooking from scratch 00ag00 while managing toddler ad5555 drama... oh and receiving unrequested assistance while typing. See above.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, cakes (among other desserts)and soups. My goals are to cook from scratch whenever possible to avoid putting unncessary preservatives, etc in our bodies. I also try to create well balanced meals. Eat healthy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a family of remarkable cooks. My mother used to cook (refuses anymore)German and Slavik dishes. Including an amazing homemade vegetable soup. My grandfather & grandmother enjoyed cooking as well. Grandpa was family wide famous for the most finicky but amazing fudge ever tasted EVER.
My cooking triumphs
Hmmm anything the kids eat is considered the ULTIMATE success.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make my Grandpas fudge and having it seize up in the bottom of the pan... may as well toss the pan! I think I actually did.

White Bean Soup
I love this but there's not a lot of flavor to the broth, it's mild. I didn't have summer savory so maybe that would have made a difference. I fade extra beans, tomatoes, chopped spinach, celery & potatoes. It's warm, filling, guilt free!

World's Best Lasagna
The best sauce! Used turkey Italian sausage instead of other meats, dried parsley instead of fresh & reduced salt to 1/4tsp.
