Praline Sundae Topping

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
Where is the 10 star button for this one??? This is sooo good! I made this several times. I even put it in jars to give as gifts. I never put the nuts in it just in case of allergies. I had no problem with it being thin or anything. I add the evaporated milk right away carefully. First time I did it by accident and since it came out so good I do it the same all the time. Very yummy and I can't stop eating it

My-Hop Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
Until this recipe I never found a pancake that I fell in love with. Many were good but not OMG good. But this one....is OMG good! I used French Vanilla extract instead but that is the only change. My mom who doesn't eat much only wanted one, but got up to eat three more. I like to make them in bulk freeze them individually and take out what I need during the week. I throw them in the toaster to heat them up, but my hubby is happy with them in the microwave.

A standby recipe, great comfort food but nothing I would serve to guests. Great for quick meals but nothing fancy.

Tangy Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
This was good but does that have the WOW factor. instead it has the been there done that factor. I would not go out of my way to make it or buy ingredients but if it was the only thing that I could make I would...if that makes sense. I added garlic like others suggested and I did cook it over indirect heat. It needs a bit more flavor.

Coconut-Lime Cheesecake with Mango Coulis

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
Wow! I am an avid cook but never made anything like this. I was pretty unsure of it but I am sure glad that I did!! I only made a few changes. Replaced the gingersnap cookies with Keebler Sandies crushed up. Also added some extract to heavy cream that I whipped up to add to the top. Finished it off with some toasted coconut. Yum yum. Very nice presentation.

Zucchini Herb Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2012
This was absolutely delish!! I logged on to get one of my other breakfast recipes and this was the featured recipe and boy am I glad it was. I couldn't stop thinking about it so I had to make it the next day. I fell in love. It is definitely a keeper. I did make a few changes Some out of preference others out of necessity. First I doubled the amount of rice. I used one large zucchini and have no idea how much it weighed. I also used 1 tsp of basil and paprika. I couldn't find my Oregano so I used 1 tsp of Italian seasoning (even though I already added the basil) Instead of garlic salt I used 1 tsp granulated garlic and 1/4 salt. I also used about 3 cloves of garlic. The amount of rice as written just did not seem like enough and I was right. I am glad that I doubled it. With the rice doubled like I made it, it made about 6 servings. I grilled up some sausages and served this with it. YUM YUM YUM I am hiding the leftovers so I can take it to work with me. I will definitely be making this again. Highly recommend this recipe!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

This was good but not great. No wow factor here. I wouldn't go out and buy the ingredients to make it but if I was short on time and had the ingredients on hand I would.

WOW these were amazing! Super easy and fancy enough to serve at a party but also quick enough to serve during the week. I used a nice thick Amish bacon and was amazed how good it was. Keeper for sure!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
I am defintely keeping this recipe on hand. While it wasn't something I would serve at a 5 star restaraunt we really enjoyed it. Very comforting and home cooked feeling to it. Plus it is very easy with me having most of the ingredients always on hand. I will defintely make this again.

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
This was excellent. Only problem was all my garlic was blackened because I guess it was to close to the burners in the oven. But even that really didn't change the taste at all, I just scrapped it off. I don't make this cut or size very often but if I did I would defintely make it again. It made the kitchen smell wonderful. It is a very simple and easy recipe. You really don't need to do much with this type of meat.

Apple Dumplings I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
These were okay. I diced up the apples as suggested and they smelled wonderful while cooking. I ended up throwing out the leftovers and no one really said anything about them. I don't think I would make them again and if I did I would change them around which in turn would make them a completley different recipe.

Oven-Baked Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
I am giving this 5 stars because we really enjoyed this. I even messed it up and it came out amazing. I would add some extra garlic and use chicken tenders instead. Actually I am thawing out 2 packages of tenders right now because I am making it again. Great way to use up left over buttermilk. Definte keeper in our book! I think this would make a great appetizer as well.

Peanut Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
This was excellent. The only thing I changed is used part coffee and part water. Instead of peanuts I used chopped up peanut butter cups. It wasn't to chocolatly which was a nice change. I made this for Easter and it was gone in minutes. Defintely a keeper!

Turkey Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
I just made this tonight because I was in the mood for something different. I came across this recipe and happened to have everything on hand. It was super easy to make. I made it as written, not changing anything. It was really good but not a WOW factor. I would defintely make it again if everything was on hand but I wouldn't set out to make it if that makes sense. It was almost to mushy. I would of added some cayenne pepper but my 3 year old twins were eating it with us. Can't give it rave reviews but it was a good quick middle of the week meal.

Peach Whirligigs

Okay I hate to do this but boy was this bad. They were swimming in a pool of goo. No one would eat them. I was so upset to waste all of those peaches. Sadly I wouldn't even try to make it again.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
I really enjoyed this. I wish I had a splash of tequilla to finish it off but that is not something I normally keep on hand. This recipe is so versitile. This time I put i over rice but I am thinking the leftovers will make great sandwiches or quesidillias

Chicken and Ham Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
I found this recipe by putting the ingredients I wanted to use up, chicken, ham and swiss cheese. I had sliced swiss cheese and fresh broccolli. So the last couple of minutes cooking my pasta I just thru in the fresh broc. to blanch it a bit. This was a nice and different approach. Will I say that I would serve it at a 5 star restraunt..NO but if I had the item on hand I would defintely make again. Maybe adding a bit more sauce.
