Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2014
This was really awesome. Only thing is that either the directions are wrong and you need to turn down to 350 when put the cobbler in OR my toaster oven running too high. First time I made it, the top got burned. But when reduced to 350 and cooked a few minutes more, it was best so far.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2014
Very good taste. I did as others suggested and added beef broth, a little onion soup mix, garlic and dollop of light sour cream. I also added just a little red wine. Have made twice and my husband loves. And as working gal, love having dinner just about ready when done.

Zesty Quinoa Salad

It was OK..kind of bla. But then I haven't found any Quinoa Salads that aren't. So maybe I just don't like Quinoa.

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
This was very good but fortunately I read the other reviews indicating a little too much cayenne. Update-I made again and with these modifications rate 5!! Use much less cumin (about 1/4 tsp) and even less cayenne (a little more than 1/8 but not quite 1/4 tsp) and 3/4 of bigger jar of roasted red pepper. I put in most of the juice of roasted red peppers for a smooth, creamy texture. This way the roasted peppers come thru and aren't overpowered by the other spices, particulurely the cayenne. But just enough to give a suttle bite.

Blackberry Puff Pastry Tarts

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
I was looking for something to use my pastry shells that I accidentally bought instead of puff pastry SHEETS. I found this and stumbled into an AWESOME dessert! These are very tasty and quote one of the big time chefs, the Blackberry is the BERRY! Great! I did miscopy and left out the milk and sugar so I did on last bake (using brush, added milk and sprinkled with sugar). REally good.

Shoyu Chicken

Really great and much tastier alternative to terriyaki chicken. I am a pretty good cook but always have trouble finding tasty grill recipes especially with chicken but this was AWESOME. Definately a keeper especially if you like spicey foods.

Tomato Spinach and Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
I was dissappointed in this soup as I LOVE good tomato basil soup. But it was like eating spaghetti sauce straight??? I think it was missing something. I even tried adding a little sherry but still not right? It may need CREAM???

Spinach Enchiladas Verde

I did as others suggested and made it a layered caserole plus added shredded chicken. It was OK but needs some spice..like jalapenos or pepper jack cheese or something.

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I was afraid might be bland and wondered about simmering uncovered BUT it worked. I did use fresh rosemary as suggested and good thick pork chops. This turned out to be a nice flavorful alternative to grilled pork chops (even here in south too cold for that!).

Parmesan Broccoli Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
These are same as spinach ball recipe. Took to a party and everyone loved them. I have made several times and had to bump this to a 5 star. Always get asked for recipe. And while there are a lot of bad for you ingredients (margarine and eggs) at least you get some really good for you broccoli.
