About this Cook
Live in Fayetteville, Arkansas with my family. Study poultry science at the University of Arkansas. Go Hogs! Love to chill w/friends and enjoy a meal on the back patio w/family.
My favorite things to cook
Chili. Make it every year for my girls party at Christmas. Also, love to make brussel sprouts w/bacon. Chicken corn chowder, baked chicken enchiladas, and garlic lemon sauteed shrimp are all wonderful.
My favorite family cooking traditions
cooking w/the kids, grilling out with anyone who comes over, making food with my Mom, and cooking over a flame when camping.
My cooking triumphs
Baked brie, french onion soup, bread pudding w/whiskey sauce, delicious chicken fried chicken!
My cooking tragedies
much younger, but one time I put cinnamon rolls into the oven with frosting before baking them. Entire house filled w/smoke and had to endure about a year of teasing about making cinnamon rolls.

Split Pea and Ham Soup I
Delicious! Very easy and affordable, too. I did not soak the peas at all; just used the slow cooker and it turned out amazing. Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!

Quickie French Onion Soup
This was great! I modified mine, based on what I had in the cupboards. I did not have the au jus packet so I added 3 cubes of beef boullion and 3 of chkn boullion. Also added garlic w/out searing it, and also a pinch of sugar. Then, used toasted french bread instead of croutons. After soup was done boiling, I added 3 oz. of cooking sherry, and that improved the flavor. Used 32 oz of beef broth and 12 oz chicken broth (both UNcondensed). SHredded the swiss chese, and it melted perfectly. LOVE this good base recipe. Thanks for sharing! :)

Starr's Savory Meatballs
These were great and EASY! I took others' suggestions and made mini meatballs about 1 1/2 inch diameter. They were awesome and baked at 425 for 15 minutes (hot oven). Thanks, Starr, these are ex-L-ent!
