Made three batches of this soup in the last couple of weeks. It's just my wife and me but we ate the first batch in a very short time. We made no changes in recipe. Don't worry about the time too much, the longer it cooks in the crook pot the better it gets. Second batch we ate some of but froze most in serving sized portions for later and then made a fresh batch for a couple of friends that came over Sunday night for dinner. Served with corn chips,green onions, sour cream,and grated cheese on the side so they had their choice of toppings. Served with a green salad and some sliced avocados. What a hit. We sent a large portion of what was left and the recipe home with our friends. Great recipe--thanks--Omar
