Berdean's Cube Steak
I made this recipe one night when I ran out of dinner ideas and had the experimental combination of being low on groceries and not wanting to brave the cold to get said groceries. I just call this smothered steak because it replaced my old recipe for that in a heartbeat. I've made this more times than I can count. I pretty much follow the recipe, except I love onions and I add about half a cup of them at the beginning. They pretty much cook away after two hours, so my little niece and nephew haven eaten it with impunity. Minced garlic can add a bit of flavor too. This is the definition of comfort food.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust
I've tried about a dozen or so pizza crust recipes with varying results. I've made this particular recipe twice now and both times yielded a truly spectacular pizza. It tastes even better than take out pizza crust and as soon I find an equally majestic sauce recipe, getting take out won't be as delicious. I also should note that it works great with regular vegetable oil instead of olive oil.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Best chocolate chip cookies I've ever baked. I've made this twice using two different kinds of chocolate chips, and Toll House won out over Hershey for me. I also did not wait for edges to brown. I almost undercook them because I only wait until they set, which is probably a minute before they start turning golden brown. I let them sit on the hot pan a couple of minutes so I can more easily place them to cool on some wax paper. After an hour or so, they are a little crispy on the outside but really chewy on the inside, perfect.
