Indian Chicken Curry (Murgh Kari)

Wow! This recipe is fantastic and full of flavor! Just what I would expect for Indian cuisine. My husband even said that he would pay for this dish at a restaurant (I consider that high praise). I followed the recipe to the letter. Delicious!

Morel Mushroom Bisque

This bisque is fantastic! I made this for my husband and he raved about it. I followed the recipe exactly as written. For my personal preference related to texture next time I think I may puree all of the the bisque before serving, but otherwise wouldn't change a thing. Can't wait until the morels are in season again to make this wonderful bisque.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

I made this over the weekend, tripling the spices like many had recommended (even the cinnamon and corriander), let meat marinate over night and then cook for about 6 hours in the crock pot. I cut up the carnitas and stored them in an air tight container with all of the juices. I typically cook for the entire week on the weekend, so the carnitas were to be eaten as pork tacos and BBQ sandwiches throughout the week. To serve up carnitas tacos last night I followed some reviewers suggestions and put two servings of the meat in the oven for 15 minutes on 400 to make the meat "crispy." I do not recommend doing this as it only dries out the meat. This afternoon I reheated some of the meat in the microwave and it was very tender. This recipe was very easy and simple to use. The spices are flavorful, but not overwhelming. The meat can be used in many different types of dishes. I will be making this again.

Slow-Cooker Posole

I made this for the first time yesterday. I was missing a couple of the ingredients, but followed the general recipe (missing green chilies). It is really quite good, although spicier than the traditioanl pasole that I have had previously. Will definetly make this again!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Excellent soup and very easy to make. I made a couplf of minor changes - sauted the onion & celery and used chicken broth. Very easy to make additions to the soup. I have added carrots, garlic, left the skins on the potatoes, added shredded sharp cheddar to the creamy broth. Also top the soup off when serving with shredded cheddar cheese, crispy bacon and scallions.
