Hush Puppies I

The first time I made this recipe, I had to add a lot of flour and cornmeal because it was very liquidy. We also thought they were a bit bland. The second time i made them I reduced the liquid and replaced the salt with creole seasoning, very good!

Best Peach Cobbler Ever

This really is the best peach cobbler ever! I did make one change though. After reading a few reviews saying it was a bit runny, I decided to leave out the 1/2 cup water and just use 1/2 a cup of the peach juice to dissolve the cornstarch. Worked great!

Famous No Coffee Pumpkin Latte

Delicious! It tastes like pumpkin pie in a mug :) I used whole milk and added some nutmeg and ground cloves to mine. Then topped it with a bit of whipped cream and cinnamon. As I was pouring it into the mugs I noticed it was rather thick so I ended up pouring it through a strainer.

Tartar Sauce I

Sage Pork Chops

I thought the pork chops turned out wonderfully, very tender. I had 10 chops so I doubled the recipe except the salt. I used only 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of garlic salt. This was perfect for out tastes. I also took the suggestions of other reviewers and used cornstarch and water to make a gravy, served over buttered noodles. Not so good. Perhaps using one less bouillon cube would lessen the salt taste in the gravy, or maybe mashed potatos would have been a better choice to off set the salt.

Cheesy Stuffed Shells

My family loves this dish. There are a couple things to note however. I did find that there is not enough stuffing for the amount of shells. Just use half the box, or double the stuffing. Also, you really have to get all the water out of frozen spinach or the filling is soggy. I use way more than 2 cups of sauce because I like to pour sauce in the bottom of the pan as well as over the top of the shells. Last thing: This recipe is not worth the effort if you are going to use beef or turkey. The flavor change is drastic if you do not use sausage.
