Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
You do not need a bread machine to do this one. I just used my regular yeast and Kitchen Aid mixer. These are really good and worth the effort!

Hobo Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
I left off one of the cans of veggies and added a can of ranch beans like someone had suggested. I did also add a can of beef broth. I had cooked my ground beef with onion, green pepper and garlic. When I added the macaroni, I also added 1 cup of shredded frozen hash browns. This really hit the spot on a cold evening while we were camping.

Delicious! Great way to cook asparagus. I also used it with fresh whole green beans. They are good too. I did cut the salt in half.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2003
This is so YUMMY and easy!! I did use 1/3 cup of applesauce to replace some of the oil. I also followed the other reviewers suggestions to stir in the zucchini at the end of mixing. My choc. chips did not sink to the bottom! I used a 9x13 pan and baked for 30 min. I told my girls that it was brownies. I can hardly keep them out of it!! Thanks for the delicious snack recipe.

Taste of Home's Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
So good and moist! These are well worth the work of grating and chopping. I followed the recipe except I did omit the coconut. We had a brunch for Christmas and everyone loved these muffins. Everyone wants them again for New Years.

Christmas Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
YUMMY & EASY!! We had brunch on Christmas and all the family LOVED IT!! I used sausage and 8 eggs, no mushrooms. I put the hashbrowns on the bottom and mixed the rest together like others suggested. We will have this again and again. Not just for Christmas.

Empanadas

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
This recipe deserves 10 STARS! You need to allow yourself plenty of time to put them together. The result is well worth it!! Make sure you moisten the inside edge of one half of the circle before seal it then pinch it. I rolled the finished cookies in cinnimon-sugar mix. I took these to a Christmas party and they were THE HIT COOKIE! Thankfully I made a double batch!

Mexican Chocolate Cake

This cake is so easy to prepare. It has a wonderful flavor. I used 1/2 c. OJ for the milk like one reviewer suggested. Turned out SO GOOD! Everyone loved it. I did make a choc. buttercream frosting to put on top. A real thin layer.

Chocolate Chip Mexican Wedding Cakes

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
These cookies are beautiful!! However, I will decrease the cinnamon to 1 1/2 tsp. the next time I prepare them. It was just a bit too much. I did use the mini choc chips, and it worked out great.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2002
I had never made a baked cheesecake before. This was very easy. I had read other reviews about not over mixing, so I was cautious. I also did do the water bath as it baked and cooled. No cracking! We liked the texture of the cheesecake better after it was a few days old and got drier. Next time I will try it with the mini choc chips.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2002
My girls really liked this recipe. I used leftover chicken. Boiled the noodles with a chicken broth cube. I added some chopped onions. After this baked, I went ahead and added the cheese on top. It is very creamy. Don't add any salt if you use a chicken cube to boil in with the noodles. This even tasted great for lunch the next day. Next time I make it, I will double it and freeze one without the cracker topping.

Super Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2002
This is a very KID FRIENDLY recipe. I doubled the recipe so there would be plenty to freeze for busy nights to come with school starting back. I cooked it in the slow cooker for 4 hours on high. The slow cooker seems to let the flavors incorporate better. I used fresh garlic and tomatoes. My husband likes a BBQ flavor to his sloppy joe, so he added BBQ sauce to his bun. We all loved how it tasted. So simple and easy. Give it a try! :)

Meaty Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2002
This is a great sauce. So meaty! I used fresh tomatoes from the garden, omitted the mushrooms, added an extra TBS. of sugar, and added 1c. grated zucchini. Oh it is GOOD! It does make a lot. I was able to freeze 3 quart bags of sauce after we ate dinner. The kids love it too! :)

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2002
This is so good! I have always stayed away from cooking brisket. I was told how tough it could be if not made right. Well, this is so easy to do, and it turned out very tender. I did double the sauce, but omited the butter. I will be making it again for our Forth of July celebration! YUMMY!!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Great taste with very little prep! I used boneless skinless chicken, cut into pieces and added extra garlic. I turned the chicken about half way thru, and only baked for about 30 min.

I followed the recipe to the letter! These cookies are DELICIOUS!! They don't spread out flat like the toll house recipe. These are so nice and fat and full of chocolate chips. Don't forget the milk. YUMMY!
