Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This dish was excellent!! I only made a few changes. I used raw shrimp instead of cooked shrimp. I seasoned the shrimp a bit then sauted them with the butter and garlic until just barely pink so they were not over cooked. I also added 3 more tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Otherwise I followed it to the letter. Very easy and quite tasty.

Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
This was a great glaze for a chocolate chocolate bundt cake. The best part is it wasn't very sticky and remained soft the next day. If you like chocolate you will love this glaze.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This is one of the BEST, QUICKESt AND EASIEST meals I have ever made. I made the marinade just at it is written. I cooked the chicken on a George Foreman grill. It worked like a charm. The chicken was tasty and moist and the dipping sauce was amazing.

Fudgy Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
These turned out fantastic!!! I was looking for a great brownie recipe and this fit the bill. I only made one change. Instead of using the microwave, I melted and butter and chocolate on the stove. I prefer this method to the microwave. Very easy and definitely very tasty.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Amazingly easy and extremely tasty. This was my first time making pot roast and it ws a definite hit. I made one change I used Old Bay seasoning before covering the roast with flour. I also used creole seasoning mix (fresh chopped onions celery bell pepper) instead of chopped onions. I used baby carrots with the meat. I let the food cook for about 11 hours on low...and it was perfect. I served the roast with rice (for the gravy). I will be making this dish often.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Super good...super easy. I only made a few changes. First I used butter instead of shortening. I also used canned peaches but I did not use the juice. I also used 1/2 brown sugar and 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar. I also increased the cornstarch to get the consistency I wanted. It was a HUGE hit!!

Pina Colada Rum Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
This cake was a BIG hit!! I made a few chanes. I used pineapple cake mix, vanilla pudding and coconut rum. I did not add the coconut flakes because I don't care for flaked coconut. The cake was AWESOME!! Everyone loved the cake. I doubled the whipped topping because one tub of whipped cream was not enough.

Shrimp Scampi III

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
This recipe was pretty good. I used a bit less garlic. I was not pleased with the taste of the white wine but it worked with the pasta. The one thing I did different was I put the pasta in a pan and poured this mixture over the pasta and mixed it together. Then I sprinkled more parmesan cheese over it. My friends loved it.

Great starter recipe . I made the following changes: with meatballs - increased Parmesan cheese to 1/4 cup....used Italian bread crumbs .....added trinity seasoning to meat(includes garlic onion bell pepper and celery) used zatarans creole seasoning instead of just pepper....added no salt Italian seasoning....half ground meat and half sweet Italian sausage. With sauce- again trinity seasoning instead of just onion....28 oz crushed tomato....28 oz diced tomato...add can of Italian seasoned tomato sauce to final batch..added zatarans seasoning and Italian seasoning instead of just pepper...and increased sugar to 3 tsp. Well seasoned and very tasty. Absolutely love it!

Seven-Up™ Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
I list my original z7 up cake recipe and tried this one since it was pretty close to my original. It turned out well. I did not cream the butter and sugar for 20 minutes more like 5 to 8 mins. The cake was moist. It took 70 minutes to bake. I have an old school cast iron bundt pan and used bakers joy....the cake came out of the pan easily. I will bake this again.

Cajun Crab Rangoon

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
I made this for a NYE party. Everyone loved it and it was easy to make. I used trinity seasoning instead of just onion. I think it needs a little sugar or more creamed cheese. I also added more crawfish. I joined the corners of the wonton to make a triangle shape instead...and a tablespoon deemed to be a bit too much stuffing. But all in all....I received several raves and request to make it again.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2014
I made this with chicken thighs and boneless skinless chicken thighs. I used less of the dried seasoning as stated in the directions. The chicken was a bit bland. I suggest using the full amount of seasoning (fresh or dried). I added onion bell pepper and garlic as well.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
Great recipe!! I made a few changes. I used 3 tablespoons of honey, 6 tablespoons of butter, I used cayenne pepper instead of dry mustard. I also used pik-mix instead of just chopped onion. It took a bit over an hour to cook. Next time I will try to broil the dish for the last 5 minutes to crisp them. I stirred the potatoes every 20 minutes.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
This pie was a soggy mess. The apples were too firm after baking. The bottom crust was a soggy mess. The filling was the best part of this pie. It has a caramel flavor that's not too sweet. I would suggest cooking the bottom crust before adding the filling. I would also suggest mixing the apples with the filling to cook them a bit before pouring it into the crust.

This was just ok. I did not put use the food processor...so maybe it would be better if I followed that step.
