I made exactly as written and I think it turned out very good. I did have to bake it about 10 minutes longer than indicated

Angel Lush Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
The frosting part of these cupcakes is wonderful, but don't bother with the angelfood. Had to go buy a plain white cake mix instead .

Aaron's Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
very easy and very soft moist cookie. So many ways of changing it around by using different pudding flavors/chips/nuts ect. I added butterscotch chips and pecans. I did have to cook about 13 minutes at 375. Made about 20 cookies and were gone the next day. Will definatly repeat.

Potato Chip Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Used BBQ chips. Didn't bake in microwave, used oven 400 or 25 minutes and used drumsticks. Kids loved it.

Pasta Carbonara

Very rich, I thought it was good, my family ate it, but no on went for the leftovers. It was easy to make, in future I would cut recipe in half.

Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
I didn't bread the pork and brown it. I used a 2 pound pork tenderloin and threw it in whole with all the dry ingredients (minus the flour). Before serving I shredded/cut up the tenderloin which helped to absorb some of the moisture of the sauce, which is quite runny. This made it the perfect consistency for putting it over noodles. My family liked it.

Chad's Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
I used Farmland hot and spicy sausage (this was plenty hot) I had to forego adding the hot sauce because I knew the kids wouldn't be able to eat it. I used 2 chicken breasts instead of the hamburger. Turned out really well, but still kids thought it was too spicy, but husband and I liked it.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Used a jar of spaghetti sauce, small can of tomato sauce and 1/2 can tomato paste for sauce. I was afraid the noodles wouldn't bake, so I didn't use all of them in the package. Next time will use more. It turned out great. Baked on high for 2 1/2 hours then turned to low for another 1 1/2. Next time will add egg with the cheese mixture.

Oyster Sauce Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
Thought I'd try because I love oysters and it sounded simple to make. I only added about 1/4 cup of the splenda, luckily I tasted it before adding more because it was already VERY SWEET. Something about the smell of this chicken dish cooking was just not right. My husband couldn't stand to be in the kitchen and named the dish "stinky chicken". Luckily it did taste better than it smelled, but not good enough to repeat.

Mom's Nova Scotia Seafood Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
This was the best soup! I used catfish that my husband had caught instead of the tilapia (you could really use anything) I also added some Cajun seasoning and some old bay. I put the veggies and potatoes in a pot with 1 carton of chicken broth instead of the water and cooked until soft. So I just kept all of the chicken broth instead of dumping out half a pan of water, then added the rest.

Super Bowl Bites

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
My husband really liked these, me not so much, but I think thats just due to personal tastes. I flattened burger mix onto a small cookie sheet and baked at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Then I cut the meat into square pieces to fit inside the buns. I used Sara Lee dinner rolls for the bread and baked the sadwiches for a few minutes in the buns. Pretty easy.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
I, like others, opted to cook in oven versus the slow cooker of r1 hour at 350. I did forget to cover pan with foil which made the cabbage rubbery (my mistake). The recipe was good, but the meat mixture itself needed more spicing up (onion powder, garlic, ect...) I also doubled the sauce as suggested, even with doubling, I probably would opt to triple next time.

Ham and Creamy Potato Scallops

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
Husband told me this was the best thing I have made. The cheese sauce was wonderful. I used chunks of velveeta cheese instead of spread. I also didn't prebake potatoes, just sliced thin, increased temp to 350 and baked for 1 hour 15 min. Definatly worth repeating

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Really good and easy. The ingredients for sauce does only make enough for about 10-12 wings, so I had to double it. The cooking time for frying the wings was way off. Mine only needed to be in the grease for about 5 minutes. Very good.

Twice Fried Fish

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
The fish needs to be cooked longer than indicated for the first frying, otherwise the fish isn't done and won't flake. I breaded with flour. Then in another pan, I added all the sauce stuff and then transferred the fish into there (where again I cooked it longer). Overall pretty good.

Original Ranch Crispy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
I too used cornflake crumbs in place of the breadcrumbs. The coating was so good and crunchy without frying. I used chicken thighs and placed them on a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet in the oven so the bottom wouldnt be soggy. I will definatly make chicken this way again.

Slow Cooker French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
Thought this made very good french onion soup and it was so easy. I didnt cook onions ahead of time. I literally threw everything into my slow cooker. I had provolone and the gruyere cheese only so I used that. I think this was just as good as soup in a restaurant.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I did as someone else suggested and mixed the cream cheese and some powdered sugar together and spread over the bread before cutting it into pieces. I don't like big globs of cream cheese. The sauce is great, kind of resembles pie filling, you could use as much or as little as you like

Wonderful. Added a few splashes of OJ and a few sprinkles of strawberry jello for some extra coloring and sweetness. Very easy.
