Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I think this turned out really well. I used the powdered bouillon instead of the cubes, and just sprinkled some in, so I don't really know measurements, but I'm positive it was less than the recipe called for. I also didn't add the baby carrots as the veggies I was using had carrots in them. I think this turned out a lot better than the other chicken pot pie crock pot recipe on this site.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I only used half the BBQ sauce while the chicken was cooking. When it was time to shred the chicken I poured in the rest. Definatly will repeat!

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I did add more ginger as suggested, plus about 1/2 diced onion. I really wish I would have taken the advice to double the sauce, because there really wasn't enough there for the noodles. The sauce does need to be thickened at the end as well

Tarragon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This was alright, good taste and easy to make. Gravy was good over mashed potatoes. Not my all-time favorite, but did the job for a quick supper.

Parmesan Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
I cooked as instructed, except I did not add the rice to the crockpot, as per other rreviewers complaint of mushiness. After chicken cooked in sauce, I shredded it/cut into chunks. I did parmesean into the sauce (1 cup), then also parmesean at the end. Served over noodles.

Very rich, I thought it was good, my family ate it, but no on went for the leftovers. It was easy to make, in future I would cut recipe in half.

Ham and Creamy Potato Scallops

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
Husband told me this was the best thing I have made. The cheese sauce was wonderful. I used chunks of velveeta cheese instead of spread. I also didn't prebake potatoes, just sliced thin, increased temp to 350 and baked for 1 hour 15 min. Definatly worth repeating

Slow Cooker Cassoulet

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Wasn't real pretty to look at, but tasted good. I only used 1 can of beans (navy). I did have to add more liquid through the day of cooking (chicken broth every once in awhile to prevent from drying out. I did add celery and some poultry season and old bay like other people suggested. Served with rice on side.

Twice Fried Fish

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
The fish needs to be cooked longer than indicated for the first frying, otherwise the fish isn't done and won't flake. I breaded with flour. Then in another pan, I added all the sauce stuff and then transferred the fish into there (where again I cooked it longer). Overall pretty good.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
I cut the recipe in half. Boiled potatoes instead of baking them (much faster) The potatoes kind of mashed up when stirring the butter, ranch, and cheese in so all the grease wasn't just lying in the bottom. I did add some onion too, maybe next time will add bacon bits.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
The topping is very good, much better than marshmellows. It made a lot (I have a family of 5) Enough for 2 dinners and there was still at least 1 helping left. It was very rich so you cant eat a lot of it. Maybe cut recipe in half? I peeled and then boiled potatoes instead of baking (I doubt it makes much of a difference).

Cheddar and Onion Soup Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
This tasted pretty good considering how easy it was. The sauce was pretty thin, but we just spooned it over the chicken and the rice I made. Will definatly make again.

Maple-Pecan Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
Loved it! Used dijon instead of spicy brown mustard. The sauce was a little thin at the end, but some cornstarch fixed that easily. Also added a squirt of honey. Definatly worth repeating.

Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
I didn't bread the pork and brown it. I used a 2 pound pork tenderloin and threw it in whole with all the dry ingredients (minus the flour). Before serving I shredded/cut up the tenderloin which helped to absorb some of the moisture of the sauce, which is quite runny. This made it the perfect consistency for putting it over noodles. My family liked it.

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
This was good, whole family liked it. I forgot to add the crushed red pepper (I noticed this halfway through eating, so the spice that it was lacking was due to my error). Its nice to do something different with a leftover ham. Will make again.
