Hmm well, where to start... I'm in my early 20's and I live in Montreal. I got to school for Biology but I cook professionally for a hotel on the weekends. I live with my ferret and I enjoy reading and watching movies. Although I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for those types of recipes, I just find they have more flavour and they're healthier to boot. I travel frequently, or at least I used to. I also live for Sriracha hot Chili sauce; the bane of my existence.

Cookies, breads, pizzas, ethnic dishes of any kind.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's shortbread recipe, when my family will finally give it to me, that is.
My cooking triumphs
Anything I magically invent while bored at work probably falls into this category as well as my cooking tragedies. Not wincing when I had to put fake bacon bits on a pizza.
My cooking tragedies
My supervisor has repeatedly ignored my advice about buying a container to hold our brown sugar, because we don't use a lot of it she deemed it unnecessary. Consequently I keep having to through out nearly full bags because it's gone hard and can't be used. Well, I was trying to make our crumble topping and needed brown sugar, only to find we didn't have any, and was forced to use though little packages that are made for coffee. Not only did it take a half hour to empty enough of those bags for a cup and half of sugar, but it tasted awful as well.

Apple Oatmeal Cookies II
These are far from moist, and how they got 48 cookies out of that recipe is beyond me. However these cookies are not so bad, they aren't sweet at all though. The apple adds a little bit of sweetness, and the honey a nice subtle undertone. Good for a quick, healthy snack on the go, but this recipe could use a little spicing up.

Spinach and Potato Frittata
I attempted to follow the recipe here, but quickly found out that six potatoes is too many, as is six eggs. This is an easily adapted recipe though, and after making various substitutions and changes, it came out decent enough. If you have left overs, refrigerate them as soon as you can, and it's easily reheated. Great with horseradish or Sriracha's, because the original recipe is a little bland on taste.

Honey Nut Granola
Absolutely fantastic, I'll never buy pre-made granola again. And it's easy to changed to fit your tastes; I ran out of honey in the middle of making this and substituted peanut butter, added walnuts in place of pecans and used regular oil and it still came out fantastic. Makes quite a bit though, but it can be stored for quite awhile.
