Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
This recipe is bizarre. There is no liquid! I just made it, and it looks nothing like the picture here. I would like to know where all that broth is coming from, because I'm currently looking at a pile of chicken in my crockpot, with corn and pinto beans mixed in. Maybe we'll eat it wrapped up in tortillas, because this is definitely NOT chili.

Mayo Free Cabbage Salad

Yum! I thought 6 tablespoons seemed like a lot of sugar, so I cut it back to 4-5 and it was delicious!

Salmon Burgers

These were tasty, and easy to put together. But the mixture was dry, and the patties fell to pieces once I put them in the pan. They just needed something more to hold them together. Mayo, perhaps?

Barbecue Pork On Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
This was okay. I followed the recipe exactly and the meat came out very tender and juicy but the taste was a little bland. Not sure what to add to give it more punch. Worcester sauce, maybe? Garlic? It was lacking something for sure.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
I have made this recipe several times and love it. It is easy to make a double batch and keep half in the freezer. Definitely freezes well. I have also discovered that if you are using store bought chicken stock (who has time to make their own??), it tastes better to use the unsalted kind. Otherwise, the soup tastes way to acidic. If you are using a higher sodium stock you would be safe to eliminate the salt called for in the recipe.
