Rockin' Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
This is one of the best recipes of salsa! Thanks for sharing it. I followed the recipe most of the time but here are some changes I did. After peeling the tomatoes I let it rest them for about 30 mts. In the meantime I had chopped all the veggies. As I recall some of the reviews had said it was a bit soggy. So to avoid this. First of all I put all the ingredients in the pan and let them fall a bit. Tomatoes and tomatoe puree I added to the pan after about 20 mts. Then I added the chopped tomatoes after draining out about 2 cups of clear juice from the botton of them. So this made the salsa not very runny. I just took brown sugar and avoided the white sugar, took fresh pressed garlic and a big bunch of fresh korainder. My husband is very hard to please. But he and my girls loved the recipe. Definitely a keeper. It makes great home made gits too. Thanks again :)

Garlic Feta Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
I would like to share one tip about the garlic. I am a garlic lover too but recently found out from a mexican friend that if you slit the garlic in the middle and take out its "heart" that greenish lining and than use it, it doesnt taste that strong and I have tried it you dont even have that aftermath of garilc. Loved this recipe. Thanks !!!

Indian Sweet Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
great recipe, what i did it rolled out the bread than sprinkled half of the bread with sugar leaving about 1 cm around the corners and than closed it with the other half like a moon. this way i dont have to roll it twice and it looks like a calzone.

Dreamy Nighttime Drink

good and simple recepie. one or two crushed green cardamom capsules can also be added for some extra flavour and 1 or 2 strands of safron gives it that extra color and richness.

Spicy Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
excellent recepie !!! i cook something like this all the time. i always have frozen green beans in the freezer and along with green chilli i also use a pinch of red chilli flakes and instead of lemon juice 1/2 tsp dry mango powder. all the dry spices just stick on the beans and its heavenly to eat.

hi claudia, thanks a lot for sharing this recepie. i think sitting the dought for some hours makes the whole difference. i would like to share a tip though. while making the tortillas i made them on a crepes pan and covered it with a lid. after a minute or so if the toritilla is rolled properly it puffs up and then you can take out the lid and cover the tortilla and cook for another minute or so. thanks again !! gr8 recepie
