Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
Great recipe but must be modified. I doubled or tripled the amount of broccoli and cauliflower. Added 4 eggs, 12 slices bacon, and only added 1/3c sugar, left out the cheese only because of a lactose intolerant person. Everything else was the same. I stired everything together, instead of putting the dressing on top. Made it for fathers day and it was gone. Will absolutly make it again with the modifications.

Ultimate Frozen Strawberry Margarita

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
Had a party and everyone loved these. I made slight variation keeped the amount of alcohol the same, but used Gran Gala instead of triple sec its higher quality, added 8-12 oz unsweetened strawberries because that is what I had, so I added 1/8-1/4 sugar. And added only 3 oz of limeade. And added enough water so it would blend. It was so popular that we ran out of tequila we made 5 batches so if your having a party make sure you have lots of strawberries, tequila, and ice!

Chocolate Yummies

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Made this for a party and everyone loved these, I had to change the recipe because I didn't have all the ingrediance. I substituted 6 oz of the choc chips with butterscotch chips. And I didn't have marshmellows so I used 16 oz marshmellow cream which I would not use because it was very gooey. With the butterscotch chips it was very simalar to a half smore, half scotcharoo.

Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
Very good, my kids even ate it. I however changed the recipe, I just keeped the same concept of spinach and cod. But I made Amana style spinach(garlic, onions, butter, beef stock, thicken with roux,& spinach) and put cheese in it. Topped cod with lemon, salt, and pepper and cheese. Bake at 400 and baked for 30 min. It was excellent!

Thai Curry Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Love the soup! I changed things up a bit I didn't have lemon grass and green onions. I added an onion, increased mush to 8 oz fresh and added more garlic. Used full fat coconut milk. I cut up the noodles. would make again.

Marinated Venison Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly. The marinade smelled great but for my family we like a more savory marinade instead of a sweet marinade on venison. I would try it again but on chicken or pork.

French Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Excellent! I changed it to be even more simple. Instead of all-purpose flour I used 5 cups bread flour, Increased salt to 2t., no cornmeal, no eggwash. Followed instructions but divided into 4 loaves baked it on a pizza stone on 450 degrees until golden brown.
