Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread
I will be the first one to comment on how I feel it's unfair reviewers tweak recipes on the first go around. Today, I had to eat my cornbread words. I had a taste for cornbread, this recipe sounded delicious, and I had to MacGyver what ingredients I had on hand to make it. I had no milk so I used powdered skim milk, added vinegar, had no butter, used butter flavored crisco, and made muffins. Beleive it or not, they turned out pretty good. I will cut down on the sugar next time AND make sure I have all the required ingredients. My fault for only giving it a 4 star score. I'm sure it will rate a 5+ star score next time. Thanks for sharing. It's my new go to.

Fluffy Pancakes
Oh my! 5 stars for sure. I followed the recipe except for using 1/2c. whole wheat flour and 1/2c. white. I will use only 1T. sugar next time (personal preference), and add vanilla or almond extract, because I'm trying to avoid the sugar of syrup. Although, I may have to make an exception for these! Do let the milk sit for a bit more than 5min., and don't worry about the thickness of the batter. Really. No pouring here. I will try other viewers suggestions and use different grains. My box of pancake mix will be very lonely sitting in the cupboard from now on.
