I love Cooking and Baking. I am a mother of 3 and Grandmother of 9. I have spent all of my working years in the food industry. Right now I am a Gluten Free Baker,But what I love most is spending time in the kitchen with my Grandchildren and teaching them the magic of food.

Braised Chicken Breasts in Tasty Mirepoix Ragout
I made this today and my husband loved it. I used bone in chicken breast,did not season with salt. Once I braised the chicken and cooked the veges, I added the remaining flour and made a roux before adding the wine and broth(I used 6 cups of broth). It made a beautiful thick sauce and we had it over mashed potatoes. We will be making this again !! Thank you for the wonderful recipe

Bayou's Bodacious Pork Rub
I coated my pork butts with this rub before I smoked them. AWESOME !!!! Dynamite flavor and a nice crispy bark on my pork.. Will be keeping this on my shelf for all of my smoking !!

Cranberry Orange Loaf
OK.. So I followed this recipe exact, and I was not pleased with the results. I doubled the recipe and made 3 loaves that did not rise,they were tasty,But not what I expected. So after reading reviews.. I did what smbowels recommend and dropped the baking powder to 1/2 tsp. I doubled the recipe and made 2 loaves and WOW... What a difference, Exactly what I was looking for. This is a keeper for my Christmas platters !!! Thank you for the wonderful recipe !!
