Totally overpowered the flavor of my VERY expensive steaks. Won't use again.

Kielbasa with Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I made this last night and was not overly impressed. It was easy, for sure, but it lacked flavor.

Easy Tomato Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
While the flavor was ok, it was closer to chicken cacciatore than Marsala. Either increase the marsala or decrease the tomatoes. If you want chicken marsala, this is NOT the recipe for you.

Pollo Mediterranean

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
My husband liked this quite a bit - I thought it was ok. I used grape tomatoes as I really don't like sun-dried and added a few mushrooms. Served steamed broccoli on the side. Not sure I'll make it again as I didn't think it was anything really special - thanks, however, for the recipe. Keep them coming!

Chicken Asparagus Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
This was great except I think the lemon was over- whelming. I would cut down to 1/2 lemon, but hte sauce was really great. I did add a slice pf proscuitto with the cheese inside and a little sauce as did other reivewers. This is a great do-a-ahead recipe which I will servie for company. Thanks!!!

Mizithra Browned Butter Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
This was disappointing - turned out dry and really unremarkable. I was able to find the cheese easily in my market though. Won't make this again.

Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
This was great! I did not use Splenda but used brown sugar as a substitute. I made sauce, cooled, then added to a zip lock bag with chicken and left it in the frig for a few hours. Baked for 40 minutes. Make SURE to line your baking dish with heavy duty foil sprayed with oil - makes clean-up a breeze! Will definitely make this again. Leftovers are great for a chicken caesar salad the next day.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
I made these yesterday and the only change was that I also used some ground pork in addition to the ground beef. Once cooked, I refrigerated them. Today, I placed them in a crock pot with 2 jars of tomatoe sauce and heated everything for a few hours. Served them with spaghetti - delicious. Will make these again!

Cory's Best Calamari

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
Not sure I would rate this as a recipe - put the squid in flour and fry. Guess I was looking for more like different spices, etc. Thanks anyway for posting this - a good place to start.

New England Seafood Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
Fairly blah - I was somewhat disappointed. It was okay but not one of the best chowder recipes I have tried. Not sure what to do to kick it up to the next notch. Thanks for the basics though.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
So, how bad can heavy cream, mustard and tarragon be! Super. I sliced the chicken for a more fancy presentation then poured the "gravy" over it with mashed potatoes. Great recipe - thanks!

Frank's Famous Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I regularly make my own sauce for my lasagna which always recevies rave reviews but I thought I'd try this "famous" sauce. I was disappointed - I did use ground beef instead of turkey but I can't imagine that it made that much difference. While the sauce was nice and thick, it was fairly bland. I added parsley flakes, italian seasoning and LOTS more garlic. That made a difference but I think I'll stick to my own tried and true recipe. Maybe I'll submit that as another "famous spaghetti sauce!"
