Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
This is a great base recipe..and makes the house smell insanely good. As others have said, I used chicken stock instead of water. Seasoned the chicken pretty heavily with a garlic herb blend and some cayenne pepper. Cooked on high for first two hours, shredded the chicken at about five and a hours in, which was when I also added the biscuits - just one can of eight. Left it all on low until we ate and it was perfectly that was probably another hour and a half. Served with green peas. Would be ideal to add veggies to the pot but I tell ya..there wasn't much room, thought it was going to overflow when I added the biscuits. Anyway, very good comforting meal!

Dinah's Baked Scallops
Delightful meal. Used chicken n biscuit crackers since that's what we had open. Added garlic to the butter and a little cayenne and some parm to the dry mix. We didn't have any lemon and it needed it..will be making this one again for sure. Thx!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II
Had to add quite a bit to it and it was still bland to me; hubby and teenager loved it. Very easy and satisfying so I'll make again. I added: sliced onoin to bottom of pan, seasoned chicken with dry mustard, paprika, s&p, garlic, and added a container of savory garlic cream cheese sauce to soup mix. Will go even bolder on seasoning next time. Love to have these kind of base recipes in the rotation - thanks!
