About this Cook
I live by myself as my boyfriend is accross country, and struggle to cook for one. It may seem simple, but it's not. I have recently lost 75 pounds, and have started cooking lighter and exploring different, healthier options to enjoy my favorites. I enjoy entertaining and I am always inviting my freinds and family over for dinner when I can. I love to cook, but I love to bake even more.I find it relaxing, and often a great way to fix a bad day. I enjoy a challage, and getting it wrong just means I can improve it on my next try, my way. I am hopelessly addicted to the Food Network as well! I'm a total Halloween and Christmas freak and look forward to baking and cooking for them every year, as well as decorating. I love to read books of almost any type, so long as they are good. I left AR for a bit to check out Pinterest, but I'm back, and won't abandon it again :).
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook in the Crockpot, or make desserts of all kinds! I love making hams, roasts, pasta, breads, and those simple recipies that have a huge taste impact.I will try to make any sweet once, even though I have most of my go to recipies already. I will avoid anything with cloves in it, as the smell makes me gag. I don't care if it's the recipie of the year, not happening :)
My cooking triumphs
I have perfected french bread, choclate chip cookies, frogs, banana bread, pizza balls, and apple crisp. I make a killer chicken noodle soup, and a cream cheese pasta to die for.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't made a beef stew that was remotly good from scratch, ever. I also always fail at rice krispie squares, which I find hilarious. I once made a pie, and the pie crsut stayed raw!

Pumpkin Pie Bread
Pretty good. It makes a lot.I dislike cloves and found the flavour of them overwhelming, so next time they will be left out. I used apple sauce too, and it was wonderfully moist!

It's Chili by George!!
LOVED it! I doubled the spices and it was extra spicy. I added sour cream and it was wonderful!
