Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
This was very good. I definitely have to take one of the other reviewers advice and finely chop the rhubarb. My pieces were too large and it would have been better had they been smaller. I'll also use more strawberries next time. Overall it was very good.

Garlic and Onion Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
I really liked these. Added more garlic and double the italian seasoning and didn't add any additional salt. A few of my patties started to come apart a bit so I think I'll address that next time I make these. Other than that they were fabulous!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
I made this cake exactly as written. It was THE BEST yellow cake from scratch I have ever had. It was moist, not too sweet, just crumbly enough, perfect! This is now my yellow cake recipe. So much better than boxed cake!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
This was very good. I like the taste but wanted it to be a bit more dense and moist and a little less crumbly. Really good though.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
These were fantastic! The only change I made was to use 3/4tsp of vanilla and 1/4tsp of almond extract. I dropped them by tablespoons instead of teaspoons. Everyone loved them. They were soooo good!

Spaghetti Pie III

This is really heavy. I like it better with angel hair pasta. It's very good and we never have any leftovers.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Really like this, have made it several times. Have never made it exactly to the recipe as I'm always missing at least one ingredient. The recipe is a good base that you can make several changes to.

Mexicali Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2010
I really liked this and so did my husband. I made this with red and orange peppers and a yellow onion. The can of tomatoes with chiles makes the dish actually quite spicy. I seasoned my pork chops when sauteing them. They were good and easy. I served them with corn on the cob and garlic red potatoes. Will make this again.

Spinach Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Really Really REALLY good. Made 1/2 what the recipe called for and baked in an 8x8 casserole dish. Added some garlic powder, pinch of parsley and basil. SOOOO Good. Two of us ate the whole thing. I really think if we had made the amount called for it would only serve ~5. There is no way you're eating just one.

Fabulous!!! We doubled the garlic, used seasoning salt instead of plain salt, added more bread crumbs. They were soooo good!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Love this recipe! I have made it several times and even those who don't care for chicken salad really like it. Made the recipe exactly as written. Definitely needs to chill for at least an hr so it's good and cold to taste the best. I always serve on croissants.

Mexican Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Really spicy. I've made this twice and always forget how hot it really is. Still tastes great and it is a big hit. Will dial down the red pepper flakes a lot next time. Very fresh. A great summer dish.

Wisconsin Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I made this tonight and it was delicious! Made some changes. Added 2 cooked, cubed chicken breasts, didn't have carrots so I used sliced zucchini, and added about a cup more cheese. It was easy and tasted great. Will definitely make again and continue to try variations.

Tom's Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Pretty good salad. I changed the white onion to red and served with fresh mozzarella and feta cheeses. Next time I'll use a pepper of a different color, red, orange, yellow, green instead of just red and green. I don't think alfalfa sprouts would be a good substitute because they are too small/thin and not as crunchy as bean sprouts. This recipe is a good base you can change to make your own.

LOVE THESE!!! Not difficult to make. The crumb topping really makes it. We only had two left at the end of the night we couldn't stop eating them. Will definitely make these again and again.

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
The best mashed potatoes. Have to physically pull the husband away from them. Of course I added way more cheese than the recipe calls for and have used several different kids of potatoes. Always comes out great.

Custard Pie III

Awesome! Have made this pie a staple in our house. Husband loves it. Very easy to make. Always use a shortbread pie crust bought from the store. The crust forms on the top and is amazing!
