About this Cook
My name is Mary, I'm 21 years old, and love to cook, and host parties. I have two Godchildren, that I love to cook with and do fun activities with! I see cooking as a fun task, and a "passing of the spoon" from generation to generation! lol.
My favorite things to cook
I will try to cook anything once lol, but my favorite things to cook are mexican food and tailgate food lol.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love being in the kitchen with my Grandma, my passion for cooking started when I was a little girl, and being in the kitchen with her was always an adventure, and we always had fun!
My cooking triumphs
I wouldn't say that I have mastered any dish, because I believe that a dish is never "perfect" you can always keep changing it to make it better and better lol.
My cooking tragedies
lol, well...I guess I would have to say making bread is something that I just don't think I'm good at lol. Its a yeast problem, I always seem to mess it up lol, if I'm making bread with my Grandma, then I seem to do pretty okay, but once I'm on my own, something always goes wrong lol. If anyone has any suggestions on how to save the yeast, please...please let me know lol

Spinach and Strawberry Salad
This was a great salad! I did add some things to it though, I added walnuts, cranberries, feta cheese, and some red onions...It was amazing! Took it to our annual Easter dinner, and everyone loved it! Oh, I also left out the sesame seeds and poppy seeds and just pureed some raspberries and made that into a vinaigrette.

Chocolate Scotcheroos
This recipe was great! Although I did make a couple of changes: I added about 1/2 cup more peanut butter, and did 1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips to 1 cup chocolate chips. But, other than that it was great!
