Apple Crisp II

Way too sweet. Next time I would cut both the sugars in half. I was fine with the liquid and the cinnamon mixed completely through the apples.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

This is quite good. I agree with the author, go with the lesser time, and go up from there. I took mine out at 28 minutes and I think 25 would be my next try. You cant take back time, start low and build from there. Really good cornbread, I ate 2 pieces. Also, I made a nice honey butter to go with it.

Ground Turkey Soup

I agree with other reviewers, a few little tweaks and this is an amazing soup. I added 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic and a few bay leaves, and more water. I also substituted about 3 C of the water with some home made beef stock I had on hand. It was so good my mom and I both ate 2 big bowls of it.

Zucchini Bread

I ended up putting a few extra chocolate chips in it, since I love chocolate, I also cut the baking time by ten minutes, just to be on the safe side, and it seemed like the perfect decision as it was just right. Really good and you wouldn't even know there is zucchini in there. Good way to get your veggies in and enjoy a tasty treat.

Savory Pork Roast

very good pork roast. I never made one before, but after trying this recipe, I will definitely be doing it again. I followed someone elses advice, and chopped up some garlic and added it in with some olive oil. Very good.

Mom's Coleslaw

Very good. Loved it, so did my neighbor, so I gave her some, along with a copy of the recipe. Makes a lot, would be great for a picnic or pot luck. Will be making this again and again.

Green Onion Dip I

Wow! This is addicting. Everyone who tried it loved it. Great with crackers, chips and veggies. I would even try this as a spread for a sandwich. It's that good. And a great way to use items from my garden.

I found that it overcooked following her directions for cooking. Next time I am going to turn the temp down to 200 degrees F and see how that works. Easy recipe to follow.

10 Pound Cheesecake

Way too sweet, not firm enough. Very heavy lemon flavor. I can see why it's called 10 pound cheesecake, when you're finished with it, you weigh 10 lbs more... LOL. Very very rich.

Basic Crepes

there was way too much flour and not enough milk. the batter should not look like pancake batter but closer to the consistancy of hot syrup. otherwise it wont evenly coat the pan with 2T of batter as it should.
