Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
This was really good and fairly easy to make. I didn't find it too salty like some reviewers have (must be a difference in the bacon used). I doubled the garlic. I also added a little extra half and half to help keep it from becoming too dry as suggested because I kept it warm in a crock pot after baking. I served it with slices of freshly toasted baguette. I will be making this one again. Thanks for sharing it!

Caramel Apple Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
This is a very easy to prepare, delicious cheesecake. I made the filling as written, but made my own graham cracker crust instead of buying a pre-made one. Will definitely be making this one again.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
I thought that this was great. I had to make 3 simple changes, though. I didn't have any balsamic vinegar, so I used lemon juice. I didn't have hours to marinate it, so I left it for about 40 minutes, which is how long I normally marinate my fish. Finally, it was too cold here to use the grill, so I baked it at 400 for 20 minutes. It turned out great. I will definitely be making it again, and I can't wait to try it on the grill. Thanks!

Pizza Sauce II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
This is very good pizza sauce, and really quick and easy to make. I'll never buy pre-made sauce again! I made a half batch, and it covered one 12" round deep dish pizza and one 10" square thin crust pizza, with a little bit leftover. I omitted the minced onion used 1/2 tsp. onion powder.

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
I've been making something like this for years now. Like many of the other reviewers, I follow the basic recipe, but do things a bit differently. I sautee my shrimp with butter, olive oil and garlic. I season with a bit of fresh ground pepper and oregano. I use angel hair pasta. After it's cooked and drained, I add it to the saute pan for a minute or two, then put it all on a plate and sprinkle with shredded parmesan. It's a quick, light meal.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2006
This was a very easy recipe that turned out great! Everyone loved it. I did season my roast with salt, pepper and garlic powder before putting it in the crockpot, and I added a dash of Worchester Sauce to the liquid. Also, since I don't care at all for the taste of beer, I substituted Ginger Ale. I will be making this one again! Thanks.

Tater Tot Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2006
This was great! Very easy to make and everyone liked it. I did follow the suggestions of using 4 eggs and 4 cups of cheese. I used sharp cheddar and monterrey jack cheeses. I put it together the night before, stuck it in the fridge, and added the tater tots in the morning. Worked just fine, although I did have to increase the cooking time a bit, probably since everything was starting cold. I'll be making this one again.

Seven Layer Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2003
These are great bars! I've tried several recipes for these bars and here's what I've learned (some after many failed attempts): 1. Don't buy graham cracker crumbs. Use regular graham crackers and crush them yourself. 2. If you have trouble with the butter not soaking through the cracker crumbs, combine them in a small bowl first and then pat them into the pan evenly. 3. The order of ingredients makes a difference in taste. This recipe puts the coconut on last which makes a great toasted coconut top.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: May 6, 2002
Excellent recipe. The gravy was very tasty - you must enjoy blue cheese, of course. I added about a tablespoon of flour to help the gravy thicken. Very fast and simple to prepare. I served it with rice and green beans. I'm already looking forward to the leftovers!

This is excellent! It was very easy. I made it with legs instead of wings, and it turned out wonderfully. Halfway through cooking I turned the legs.
