Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I have never been a fan of restaurant biscuits and gravy but I LOVE this recipe! The only thing I did to tweak this recipe was to use sweet basil italian sausauge in place of the bulk pork. This is a stick to your ribs favorite of my husband's as well :)

Cucumber-Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
Thank you for sharing, this recipe is superb! Many people might not think that cucumber belongs in a salsa recipe (I got a couple sidewise glances at least) but my friends tried it and they loved it! The mango is sweet, the onions and jalepeno add spice and the cucumber gives crunch and refreshment. Mmmmmmmm I'll be making this recipe all summer long!

Moo Shu Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This was good, I made mine with chicken instead of pork and spread plum sauce on the tortillas before wrapping. This is a quick and filling meal especially if you pair it with rice.

Quick and Easy Pancit

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I love Pancit! This was an easy and fun meal to make. For anyone who doesn't know....rice noodles are almost impossible to separate so PLEASE do not try to separate the package like I did. Just make the whole 6 servings, you'll be wanting it for lunch the next day and it will shorten kitchen cleanup trying to sweep up all those little clear noodles.....;)

Made this for my husband's birthday and have a feeling it will be sorely missed if not made again. PS: It was gone in 2 days. :) Super yummy!

Costas French Market Doughnuts (Beignets)

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I am not usually a fan of frying or donuts in general but this recipe is delish! The thinner you roll these babies the better they puff up. The dough it sweet enough on its own that you definitly dont need a cup of confectioners suger. Yummy for a girlie brunch :)

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This is one of those recipes I turned to when I was out of my usual standby---Bisquik. Well, I can tell you I'm not going back! recipes made by scratch are the best! While I was sceptical of the vinegar in this recipe, it really gives the pancakes a nice boost in volume. You may smell the vinegar but you wont taste it (and I used rice wine vinegar). This is a hugely adaptable recipe, I've mixed in: rum, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, orange citrus, and topped them with a variety of homemade berry syrups. The only thing I did differently was to add a tad bit more milk.

Thai Chicken with Basil Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This recipe is fabulous! I am a huge lover of thai food and this did not let me down! I didnt have a few things like the fish sauce, fresh basil or fresh ginger but the dried and ground versions of the spices were perfect. I also added more mushrooms and coconut milk than was called for and added sliced zucchini and red bell pepper to it. I love how you can make it spicier with just a touch more red pepper flakes, and it was perfect over steamed jasmine rice. Will make quite often!!!

Roasted Pears with Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Basically, a baked pear...could have used some more spices, and the caramel sauce was not really caramel. I recommmend melting caramel squares to get a better flavor.

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
Yum, yum, yum...a sensual sweet and nutty flavor that brings the anticipation of autumn straight in from your oven! Me and my husband both love this dish! I did microwave the halves first for 6 mins a piece to save some time w/ about a half inch of salted water in the bottom to make it tender and tasty.
