Ham and Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
Hubby & I loved this. I added tiny sweet frozen peas - had to use cream of mushroom soup as we don't care for cream chicken. I will definitely make this again. YUM, this is comfort food!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
These were good but seemed to be missing something. I'm not sure what but they seemed a little bland. They did cook up very well and were nice and fluffy. I did beat the whites separately then folded them in. Would be a very good recipe for add-in's like berries or choc chips.

Traditional Gyro Meat

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
This recipe is the real deal! So flavorful and moist. My first time making gyro meat. The smell and taste are dead on. I used a 7x13 shallow glass dish so that the pieces would be more like what you get at restaurants (see photos). I did much of the recipe as stated but did add an extra lb of beef and an extra half batch of spices to make more at once and I was worried about it being to "lamby". Turned out fantastic!! This amount was PERFECT for the 7x11 pan. I let mine cool overnight in fridge and then cut it into thin slices using an electric carving knife. The slices came out perfect. I have added 2 photos - one is while I was cutting (you can see the loaf and some slices), the other photo is when I had them crisping up on the flat top. I will make this over and over! Thank you so much for this recipe.

So good. I grilled my sandwich cause I like it that way. I've had these ingredients in a quisadilla before and loved it so I thought I would try this sandwich. 4 stars regular but 5 stars grilled. You can also use chicken

Cherry Fluff

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
Very tasty! Have used this recipe for many months. What I always do is I take the whole can of pie filling and chop it all up into little pieces. This way it is more of a fluffy dessert than a chunky one. My family loves it with either chopped pecans or walnuts. Can also easily make this low calorie!!! So good but not too sweet.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
WOW! Was totally skeptical but went with it anyway. I am so glad that I did and so was my hubby. Came out perfectly med-rare. Super juicy. I coated the outside with Montreal Steak Seasoning and wouldn't change a thing. Thank you so much. We were so worried that the time that it just sat in the oven wouldn't cook it but it sure does.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
DELICIOUS!!! Took other suggestions and coated bacon and smokies w/ brown sugar first - then coated again in more brown sugar once bacon was wrapped around smokies. Definately use a broiler pan. Skewers really do make this much easier to deal with. These were a huge hit!

Kicky Steak Strips with Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
OUR FAMILYS NEWEST FAVORITE RECIPE!!! We have used steak, chicken, shrimp and tons of vegetables. Each time we do one a meat we also marinate a few veggies to go with. The veggies take about the same amount of time to cook as the meats. I did as others have suggested and used 1 t onion powder, 1 t garlic powder & 1/4 C brown sugar instead of fresh garlic & onion. Have made this marinade with different meats/veggies at least 8 times in the last month!!

Crab Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
These are delicious! I sauteed the onions and also sauteed some mushrooms. Added swiss cheese and a couple of crushed townhouse crackers to bind the whole cream cheese/crab mixture together. I also used Panko bread crumbs for extra crispness. This is even better with a white wine cream sauce served over the top. Thanks for the recipe. It gives me even more ideas of different cheeses and maybe even bacon inside next time :0 Yum.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

DELICIOUS!! I followed a few other reviews and used 1 can cream mushroom & 1 can golden mushroom soup. Also, browned in electric skillet, added rest of ingredients and cooked in same skillet on low/simmer temp for almost 4 hours. This is a seriously good recipe. Thank you.

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Delicious recipe. The gravy is Fantastic! Pork came out a little tough but I listened to others and seared first. Probably shouldn't have done that. I did add 1/4 t crushed rosemary and 1 t garlic powder to the salt & pepper mix. Also, I sauteed the onions and shrooms in a little butter and white wine before adding to pan. YUM.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
DELICIOUS!!! Easy to make and beyond tasty. I did use 1/2 white & 1/2 brown sugar. Have also used diet mountain dew and can't taste the difference. One thing that I also do is to coat the apple slices in more cinnamon & some splenda. This adds so much more flavor without extra calories. Have made this at least 10 times in a couple of months! thanks

Pink Stuff

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Delicious! I poured the can of cherry filling onto a cutting board and chopped it into little pieces which made the consistency wonderful. Everyone at Thanksgiving loved this. I made half with nuts and the rest w/o for non-nut lovers. So easy to make. Thanks for the recipe. Oh - I took out some calories by using low fat condensed milk, lite pie filling and lite cool whip. No one even knew it was a lite recipe :)

Individual Beef Wellingtons

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
Wonderful recipe! Very easy to make. Used two 8 oz fillets per rolled out puff pastry sheet. Didn't have sherry but used Merlot and tasted wonderful! I added some finely chopped leftover holiday ham and also topped with some shredded swiss. I tasted the filling and it needed a little flavor so I added 2 t minced garlic. These truly had fantastic flavor! Will be making again & again. Served with a tasty sauce of 1 1/2 T butter melted, 1 C beef stock, 3/4 C Merlot & 1/2 t minced garlic. Heated all of that and then added 1/2 C fat free half & half. Ended up mixing a little cornstarch and water then slowly adding enough until it made the consistancy I wanted. YUM. Thanks for the recipe.
