Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2014
I just throw all the ingredients in the pot and simmer for an hour-ish, reserving the flour until the end, use just enough to thicken, then a few pokes with the potato masher to mash a few of the potatoes. I can't tell a difference in the end result doing it this way rather than sautéing and all that. I omit the tarragon as I don't care for it, only use cilantro when I have it on hand, and I brown and serve the bacon on the side as a garnish. I know the rating police will hate a review of a recipe I didn't explicitly follow directions on, but oh well. Cooking entails experimentation - get over it.

Custard Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
This was really, really good. I doubled the recipe and used an 11 x 17 baking dish. Followed the recipe exactly other than I threw in an extra 2t of cinnamon. The sauce was awesome. I just threw everything in a saucepan, brought it to a boil for a minute or two and lightly drizzled over the top. My family loved it.

The Most Easy and Delish Meatloaf EVER!

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I was looking for a more flavorful meatloaf that didn't contain any canned or dry soup mix and thought the rotel was an interesting twist. This was really, really good. It had a lot more flavor than anything I came up with on my own and the rotel gives it a nice kick. This is now my recipe and is going into the rotation. I used 1 1/4 sleeves of crackers because I was unsure of the consistency after I mixed it but other than that made exactly as directed. Thanks so much for sharing!

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Made exactly as directed. It tasted fine, but not spectacular. I probably wouldn't make it again.

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This bread has a wonderful flavor and I wouldn't change much; it's nearly perfect. I've made it exactly as directed twice and it it could have been just a tad more moist. Just a smidge. I'm going to try adding just a bit more oil, maybe a few Tablespoons and see if that helps.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Turned out perfect. Most snickerdoodle recipes seem to use all shortening; I think using 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening does make the difference in this recipe. These were nice and soft and so easy to make.

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Excellent recipe. I used a plate but think I'll follow another reviewers advice and use parchment paper next time so I can get more on at a time.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
Loved it. I used a little corn starch to thicken rather than flour but other than that made exactly as directed. It's a keeper.
