Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Sooo very good. It is important however to make sure you do a slow, low temp melting of the chocolate...especially if you do it in the microwave. The taste is wonderful...and I would venture to say, I would add even more chocolate!

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

I've never had any falafel this good! You simply have to try this recipe if you are a fellow falafel fan! It has beat any authentic restaurant that I've gone too!

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

It was a HIT at my Christmas Party. The bakery was out of angel food cake, so I made a pound cake and cubed it...it worked wonderfully and everyone was pleased. TIP: Not so hot the next day...indulge and eat it that night if you can!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Yes, it is a wonderfully moist, dense, fudgy cake. Just a couple things to note however. First, don't be nervous if your batter looks like it's pulling together into a solid mass! I had mine in the Kitchenaid on medium, for only 3 minutes, but it looked really odd like it was pulling together into a dough. It poured out into the cake pans, and I actually had to wet my fingers down a bit and level it out a bit as the batter was that cohesive. Secondly, realize this is a dark chocolate cake. Some of my guests prefered more of a milk chocolate cake, but no one complained once they tasted it. One huge suggestion...make this in advance!!! It is so incredibly better the next day and after... It seems to get moister as it sits. Was a huge hit at the party and I'm grateful for the recipe!

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Couldn't have been simpler and more tasty! I would suggest, as I served this at a party, if serving on heavy bread, like a ciabatta roll, to either suggest to your guests (or do it for them), to dip the open face of their bread roll into the juice! The juice and slices of provolone absolutely make this sandwich scrumptious!

Seven Layer Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
This was an extremely easy and quick recipe. It is very rich, so have milk standing by! As another reviewer stated, it is best to combine the graham and melted butter in a bowl separately, rather than mix it in the pan directly. This one is definitely making it into my recipe box!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Great recipe! I made several cookies for a sleepover weekend, and there hardly any left! One tip, as another reviewer noted, it is imperative that you freeze the unwrapped peanut butter cups prior to pressing them into the hot dough of the cookie.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
What a great recipe! The balance of spices is just right. No need to jack this recipe up! The addition of an icing really tops off the cookie, though it's not listed on the recipe. The dough was not sticky at all, but using a cookie scoop is always a great idea for getting a consistent-sized cookie. Bravo Amy1028!
